Ever feel like your downtime is constantly interrupted by other tasks niggling away at you? Frequently jumping from task to task is called time confetti, and while it might sound cute, it isn't great for productivity or our wellbeing.

Park behind the library next to the housing commission - you can get in through the driveway on the left of the library/medical centre from Separation St. Pain to get in and out but unlikely to be cordoned off as on the other side of Sep St.

Bloody magpies yelling at me.

Sossige is fundraiser, so why not? You are supporting the community!

Friday 2nd May the Thornbury Local is having a country rock n roll evening. I think I could get into that on election eve. And Missing Link is playing at Shotkickers on election night. OK, who needs to doomscroll when you can dance!

Is everyone's fire insurance paid up? Cos at work we've had TWO burned out trucks in our back alley so far today. One was a furniture mover's truck (this morning) and now the fire alarm went off cos the next door block of flats had a small truck with a burning engine stuck in the garage door. Alarm was stupid loud too - had to finish up phone calls cos neither one of us could hear the other over the noise. Boss now gone down to bound and plunge and lose his temper. Not that that will accomplish much.

Pedal to the metal time!

My local ringies have absolutely destroyed my potted fuschias. In previous years the mint has been fairly safe - not this year. They even had a go at the lemon thyme and the really spicy oregano, neither of which have been targeted before. Lotta hungry possums out there rn. So far the chives are safe but I'm holding my breath a bit.

7/10 - OK with a couple of guesses (both wrong)

Pepitas are nice. Different flavour to pine nuts but equally snackable. Use in pesto, roast gently and sprinkle with salt & chilli powder for snax. Add to salads etc. Grind to a paste and mix with tahini/lemon/garlic for a different hommous. Truth to tell, I like them better than pine nuts - more options to tweak the flavours.

Last chance to clean coats, pillows, blankets, doonas etc. before winter sets in. I'm aiming to do a search & destroy cleaning this weekend ready for Easter. Plus gardening if I still have the energy.

Yumm. Thanks chef!

Bit of a red flag that.

Fattoush salad and a couple of goat kebabs please.

??? Never heard of it/him/whoever. Have I missed out on something?
Riiiight. So not missing out on anything. Whew!

Green/underripe pumpkin can be eaten if cooked. Not as much pumpkiny flavour - more like apple but perfectly edible and def not poisonous.
Also, next weekend is going to be warm at 28 deg/29 deg so just may continue to ripen a bit more.

Granny Smith yes. Pink Lady, Gala, Yellow Delicious - no. Best to leave peel on though.

Source of much reading pleasure over the years. Will be much missed.

Thanks chef! Much stronger now.

Pavlova with sardines please. Feeling in need of protein.

Never knew there was a name for this - the story of my life all the same.

Buyers who purchase off-the-plan units, apartments and townhouses in Victoria will potentially pay tens of thousands of dollars less stamp duty under a government concession.

But who in their right mind BUYS off the plan, given the lousy build quality of most of the 'off the plan' strata title developments. I've lost track of all the noise, mould, cracking, horrible neighbours complaints about these developments both here and on the other site.

Two draws so far this season. Yes, I think we need a song for that. Abc justin news comes good again.

The Environment Protection Authority said it is in contact with a council in Melbourne’s west after mulch believed to be contaminated with asbestos was found at a playground.

Looks like it's not just Sydney that has a problem with lazy disposal of building rubble. Only buy from reputable suppliers peeps.

Melbourne's Southern Cross Station is a gateway for commuters and visitors to the city, but experts say secret data shows the air quality poses a health risk to workers and passengers.

Not news. Not if you use this station. Published in the very early morning, not prime time. Something has to be done about this.

From skewering the football industry to finding themselves oddly ensconced within it, the Coodabeen Champions bow out of broadcasting with a remarkable and unlikely legacy.

Waaaaaaaahhhh! No more footy songs! No-one will ever beat beat the 6.15 from Hurstbridge for peak Melbourne.

Leaked emails reveal for the first time the tactics Coles employs when a supplier seeks a price increase and how it has taken advantage of inflation to boost profits.

And on the Seventh day God rested - and I think we should keep the tradition going.

There was once thought to be fewer than 1,000 numbats left in the wild, but a new study in southern Western Australia suggests that number is far greater.

Looks like our Nellie and friends are doing better than expected.

A Latrobe Valley man is facing ten charges and has had his Lego toy collection confiscated after police seized a commercial quantity of illegal drugs.

Dealing drugs to, to - fuel a Lego habit? WTF?

New dish - salmon stuffed hash browns
Just came back from brunch with a friend - she'd cooked a very nice variation on hashbrowns.
Thinnish layer of mashed spud in a lined lamington tray, layer of smoked salmon, another layer of mashed spud. Then chilled, cut in sections, breaded and fried.
End result was a hash brown with a distinct layer of fish in the middle. She served these with a poached egg on top and a side of avocado salsa.
Very nice indeed and a good brunch dish.

Hot days could be too much for Australia's cutest anteater

New research shows numbats are overheating in high summer temperatures, and scientists suggest climate change could make things worse.

Oh no!
