3 eggs in a row before the first boss!

What a wacky run I just had.

On floor 7 I got offered Rainbow, Doom and Gloom, or Equilibrium. My deck needed more offense so I went with the Rainbow although I definitely considered the Doom and Gloom. I even upgraded the Rainbow on the next floor although I didn't know if that was the best choice.

Then on floor 14 I get offered another Rainbow. Do I need it? Probably not, but the other options weren't great and I had just gotten a Defragment so a double Rainbow sounded fun.

When I got offered a third Rainbow after defeating Hexaghost at the end of Act 1, I laughed. But I didn't want the Hyperbeam because my deck was entirely built around orbs, and whether or not the Machine Learning was the better choice the Rainbow seemed more fun.

After three Rainbows in Act 1, the RNG finally stopped offering me them...for the first half of Act 2. On floor 27 I get offered my fourth Rainbow. At this point I don't even care what the other options are. If RNGesus wants me to have another Rainbow

I've been scouring all kinds of resale platforms for an English version of the boardgame to no avail. I found one guy selling the game basicslly new for 85€ and I hesitated for a couple days too long - got snatched by someone else. Now I'm playing 40€ more :') but I'm really looking forward to it - been thinking about buying the boardgame ever since it was teased on Kickstarter.

Let's see when it will be delivered (2nd quarter 2025 is all there is in terms of delivery date) 🤞🏻

This is me, some videos of my early adventures in Slay the Spire. This is not watching a pro beat the heart after a thousand hours. Looking at Steam this morning, I have all of 25 hours in, at least a quarter of those are the game being open overnight. I will continue to edit and put more videos of my journey out there. This is learning the game, learning Peertube, OBS, and ShotCut all at the same time!

Haven't played on my phone for a while and am sitting on A20 on all characters except Ironclad. Got an A20 win on Watcher some time ago and now, after playing a lot of Silent on my tablet, I got an A20 win on Silent.

Got a lot of good events and cards, and the combo of 3 Apparitions with Apotheosis plus the two Wraith Forms allowed me to just turtle behind intangible for days and just stack up the poison.

I do a defect run, I accrue bunch of skills, then I get nobbed.

I retry, get a claw deck going. But there is no All for one in sight. Avocado bops me with big hit, dead.

Then I meet neow again, transforms a card into reprogram. Gee, with a feeling that run is ruined, I build around the reprogram. Defragment and Biased Cognition shows up couple of times, but I already lost the way of focus. Finding and playing reprogram many times turn out to be incredibly difficult, reprogram often fails to turn up by turn 3. Reaches to boss with little health, dies to the Champ.

Then again, I retry in hopes of something better. In the way, I find key cards of Core Surge & Biased Cognition, and 2 Capacitors. Get millions of orb going with 5 focus, becomes literally unbeatable. Eventually, beat the heart with 7 icy orbs and 2 sparky orbs, cycling them around.

Next moment after credits, I find myself clicking Ironclad and I am back to Neow.. Damn, why is this game so much replayable? I cannot break

I've heard and seen a lot of good about it but I'm not sure if he price tag warrants a purchase. I might play a little solo but I'd probably look to play coop with up to four players.

Any experiences?

No ascension level but I've been struggling with this boss for a while so it was pretty satisfying to finally get a victory.

I had a few bad runs in a row including a really terrible one right before this. So I wasn't expecting much when I started a new run and picked the max HP boost out of the two options.

But then this seed just handed me a great shiv deck right from the start. Blade Dance from my first fight on floor 1, Accuracy from my second fight on floor 4, plus another Blade Dance I bought from the shop on floor 5. By floor 12 I was up to 3 Blade Dances with 2 of them upgraded, a Storm of Steel, and a Ninja Scroll relic. Shivs out the wazoo, not to mention the Bronze Thorns on floor 2 when I got the relic in the first try in that event that lets you sacrifice health for a chance to get a relic.

Despite the solid start, I was starting to get a little worried in the back half of Act 3. Between the Ninja Scroll and the high likelihood of 1 or more Blade Dance+ in my hand, the

I'm not often a fan of Dead Branch runs because of how unpredictable they can be but this run was fueled by Shivs with the Shurikan and Kunai relics generating a ton of strength and dexterity so I was really just trying to play as many cards as possible every turn and see what fun Dead Branch created! Picking up an early Apotheosis certainly didn't hurt either as it meant I was happy to get Fusion Hammer for the extra energy per turn!

One of my favorites was a Defect deck which used seeks, double energy, and a dark orb to one shot Deca & Donu on turn one. Hearing the orb go off like 60 times was incredible.
