I just noticed Lemmy doesn't support uploading videos, and I knew Redgifs only allows videos up to 1 minute of duration.

However, most of my videos are 2 to 5 minutes long, the cuts are already optimal, and I won't divide these in multiple parts.

So where else can I upload these ?

Is there a reason some communities from federated instances are not available here? For example, [email protected] cannot be found, but is visible from another instance.

All gifs posted through redgifs show up as links that open the gif when clicked but offer no preview.

I think back when infinity was still working, I was able to look at most of the content in-app. Has anyone a recommendation or a solution for my problem? I don't want to use redgifs website directly. Hi, as per title, whenever I go to pornlemmy by browser on my phone (duckduckgo, firefox - both were working before) I see the 18+ warning, but no option to enter. On PC I see YES and NO in green after it, this is not the case in android browser, where I only see the screen I posted, unscrollable, with no option to enter, and no YES and NO appear. Can someone enlighten me? Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this problem? Edit: show desktop site doesn't work either Edit 2: solved by popping up the keyboard during the warning screen, the page shrinked and yes and no were now showing.

Hello there, I have a question regarding MP4s hosted on pornlemmy, I can never seem to load them, what’s up with that? They just give me a black screen whenever I visit from pornlemmy’s website, on my Memmy client or through my home server’s own UI, even when I go to the link directly.

Hi peeps, if you're in Europe you might have noticed we had a small outage today. If you're in Europe, you might also have noted that it's hot outside. The PornLemmy team squeezes the servers running the site between a shit ton of other servers that do sciency stuff, but they're not critical enough to merit a nuclear fallout end of the world datacenter. Therefore, we get a regular run of the mill datacenter, which was not built with the tolerances this Cerberus heatwave is bringing down on us (and we're in the worst affected part of Europe).

So, because of the red temperature alert, hardware parts have started to degrade. We managed to do a database dump and move the whole deployment to another cluster without losing much data (about 10-15 minutes worth), but things are not looking good for the near future, as we have the red temperature alert predicted for every day this week and next week. Fun times ahead. Help us buy a desk fan?

You can see the growth curve at the end of this post, so far it seems pretty stable, which to me means that we’ve quickly reached most of our intended audience. There is the small dip in uniques for Saturday which puzzles me: are you watching more porn at work than at home?

A few minutes ago I couldn't quite grasp how the inter-community inter-federated services worked, I'm starting to figure it out. Keep in mind this simple truth: You can subscribe to any Lemmy community in any instance from your instance, the instance in which you created your account doesn't affect this.

With this in mind, all you got to do is subscribe to all the communities in PornLemmy that you want to see on your Subscriptions feed. This is easier to do on a web browser.
