I ate a lot of good stuff this weekend, but this pizza I had for lunch on Sunday really hit the spot. Right in the center of the pie they sprinkled some grated Parmesan and/or sea salt that provides a nice zing of flavor as soon as you put the tip of a slice in your mouth. It's the Simple Enquiry pizza from Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats in Rehoboth, Delaware.
The local farmers market had some frozen dough. Thought why not! Not used the oven in ages. It cooked so well! Did 5 pizza like this for the family with different toppings.
Grocery store had a huge bag of discounted mushrooms so time to experiment. Cooked down the mushrooms and sautéed some onions to go with. The base is garlic olive oil. Cheese is just mozzarella but next time I plan on adding either goat cheese or swiss for a bite.
Basic Jack's frozen supreme pizza doctored up with black olives, portobello mushrooms, and garden jalapenos. Little extra cheese to hold extras in place
375° for about 15 minutes.
Hit the spot after nothing but a cheese stick all day 🍕
So I doctored up a plain cheese Jack's frozen pizza with diced garden jalapenos, portobello mushroom slices, diced black olives, diced marinated artichoke hearts, and torn up canned asparagus. Garlic salt and extra cheddar and mozzarella to top it off, then about 15 minutes in the oven at 375°.
This weeks pizza is one we don’t do very often but is always a crowd pleaser. Grilled chicken, charred broccoli, and shredded carrots. The base is homemade Thai chili sauce. It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s delicious.
