Rat Hotels in North Carolina?
Hello. We had rats about 10 years ago and would like to adopt them again, but we travel 2-3 times a year for about 10 days each time and we worry about what would happen to the rats. That stops us from adopting. But maybe you know some pet hotels that would take care of them if the need arise. I tried to find it myself but seems like all pet boardings only work with cats and dogs. Help.
I got a new cuddly lil friend
Got her as a rescue, she's an absolute cutie. A little timid but, sweet and cuddly.
I'm getting her some ratty friends very soon, but for now I'm just giving her excessive amounts of attention and lots of snacks

Questions About Pet Rats
I am curious about having rats as a pet. I've seen some videos saying you should set aside like 200-300 for a pair of rats a month for Vet stuff. Is this true? I was hoping to find a nice and cuddly pet that would require little maintenance. Is it true they get sick all the time?
My sweet Pistache passed today π
He was the sweetest little fluffy rodent. It's the first time I'm losing a pet rat. I'm crying a bunch π And well... it's normal; it's the cycle of life and death. A good reminder to cherish life itself and the ones around us, pets or humans. I'm treating my 4 other little critters today to celebrate them being alive and healthy.
I didn't have him for very long, and it still hurt a lot to lose him. I took him in July, as I had a lonely rat I rescued at home. He has been a lovely companion to Hatchi for the time he was there. He was 1 year and a half at the time according to the previous owner.
This photo taken when he was still healthy btw.
Thanks for taking time to read this. I just needed to tell somebody π
Rest in peace, Pistache
