(Fiction) How to Alter Someone's Reading Preferences in Matrix Manager

Starting off your simulated citizens on the right literature can be ver y difficult! However, Matrix Manager makes it easier by connecting to the servers of the simulation we live in. Thanks to a team of skilled human programmers who found vulnerabilities in the Matrix, Matrix Manager is able to manipulate the simulation according to its user's will.

However, the complexity of the Matrix and by extension, human society at large means that even basic MM operations are difficult to do and require years of training. In fact, certain large-scale operations such as deleting countries, dissolving corporations, or creating new traditions are completely impossible due to the fact that the simulation has not yet been reverse-engineered for these operations.

Thankfully, an operation as simple as changing a person's reading preferences is easy!

To change someone's reading preferences, you need their Matrix Person ID. To acquire a Matrix Person ID (MPID), read the "Get someone's Matrix Person I

    Notice to Reddit Mods

As you may know, I created the communities wellthatsucks, usdefaultism, entitledpeople, and signs, here on lemmy.ml.

These are copies of already-existing subreddits. If you are a moderator for these subreddits, please read this carefully:

You will not be granted moderator rights in these communities, and I will not hand over control to you.

    Thank you.

    The Growth of Lemmy

With the new API changes pissing off large parts of the Reddit userbase, people are leaving in search for alternatives. Lemmy is growing.

Here are a collection of posts which I have collected to highlight just how much we are growing:

    Interesting charts

    Memes

    That's pretty much everything.

    Anyways.

Here's hoping Lemmy doesn't experience an Eternal September-type situation - in which the website rapidly grows. Here's also hoping that the worst aspects of Reddit's culture don't make the migration over to Lemmy. And that only the best parts of Reddit do decide to migrate.

Even if Reddit decided to undo all the API changes I would still stay here on Lemmy since at least I get to have the username I want.

    Illuminaughtii Quarantine Zone

Illuminaughtii, an American YouTuber, became the topic of drama in 2023. First a conflict with LegalEagle over a highlighter effect, it has since escalated into so much more.

It was revealed that Blair went after a person known as Wonderstruck Guy by sending him a cease-and-desist, in addition to the posting of Wonderstruck's self-termination note and other highly sensitive information.

Additionally, she accused The Click of harboring creeps within his server (The Click was asleep while the creep was active; and he had already been banned by another mod), alongside other things.

A creator once respected and well-known has fallen out of grace.

Travel to the Illuminaughtii Quarantine Zone is highly discouraged. There is nothing worth dying for in the pink area. Do not enter at all costs. Do not attempt to cross the Illuminaughtii Buffer Zone. Extreme toxicity lingers on the other side.
