Aarhus is Denmark's second largest city - and Jutland's largest urban area. Approximately 290,000 people live in Aarhus city, and 362,000 in the wider Aarhus Municipality.
Highlights from the Ingerslev Torv market in #Aarhus 💚🌱 Japanese-Brazilian #vegan desserts that taste like heaven !!! Lions mane #mushrooms ! Apple juice, sprouts, onions etc
I used to feel nervous to buy food at the market, since I was so used to the alienated experience of shopping in grocery stores.
But now it has become such a fun social activity - to go with a friend and talk about food as we buy it, and even talk with the producers about it too 🥬
Through #SocialArt, we address meaningful issues, fostering dialogue and driving change. Committed to sustainability, we prioritize both people and the planet, promoting harmony between communities and nature.
Endnu en sær restaurant fra folkene bag Bardok og Partizani - en polsk bistro, en såkaldt mælkebar, i lokalerne på Vester Allé 18 hvor der lå den der ret dårlige indiske restaurant i mange år.
I found online only shops for bigger women's sizes and while walking downtown and checking Magasin, Brunn's Galerie, Selling etc, I couldn't find any shop that would at least have a section with large sizes.
Any ideas where I could go? I'm especially looking for a jacket with the current sales.
I'm going to move to (probably) Århus beginning of January, and I got a few question specifically about the city and live in Denmark in general.
If there is a better community for stuff like this let me know!
Live in Denmark
I probably have my apartment secured but are there general things to look out for?
Are there any must-have-apps for daily live? I already found the DSB app, rejskort and rejsplanen app, but is there for example something for national/local alerts (Germany and Finland have that for example).
I already have one specific question: why does DSB offer both to check in and out for a trip and tickets for a specific route?
Any other things I might not be aware of? I already lived other Scandinavian countries, so I don't expect much if a culture shock.
Live in Århus
I'll be trying to join a pen&paper group. Any advice where to go looking?
Any areas to avoid?
Any hidden gems? Might be a favorite café, bar, beach etc.
