I have a vintage computer from the late 80s that is way too slow with SSL. Google is the only search engine I know of that doesn't automatically switch to SSL. I've tried:
startpage.com
Ecosia.org
DuckDuckGo.comOnly duckduckgo stays with http when I specify it, but it's very slow loading what appears to be excessive JS (for my system, at least).
