  • I get your point. But it's also about support for the phone and the fair production. I know they are not perfect, but someone needs to start somewhere. I needed a new phone anyway and invested in this one.

  • Was about to mentioned it. I have the Fp5 and the only thing that i miss is the headphonejack. Everything else is there:

    • battery which can be just swapped
    • expendable storage
    • easy to repair
    • the parts are also reasonably priced
  • Yeah like kinda everything. Wasn't sure if it's just more reports. In the end it's a mix of all the systems.

I thought i missed something. But all you folk's provided good information for me and i am thankful for this

What's up with all this data breaches and leaks?

Was this always happening in this big scope? Leaks of games, data that is stolen, all these breaches in big companies. Feels like I see this everyday

  • I have the fp5 and flashed e/os myself. Im very happy with it. You need to flash it back when you want to sent it in (they have the instructions on there own page). Build Quality is nice. Repairs are simple. The price for spareparts is reasonable. And they really try to make a difference here and that is why i support them. Are they perfect? No? But who is? And you need to start from somewhere i think.

  • Got the fairphone 5 and installed e/os on the device. It's degoogled.

I use it as a.daily driver. E/os has some bugs but overall it works great. I am really happy with the phone and the system.

Im also using only open source apps on the device.
