That's terrible. Sounds like Auburn administration actually wants to educate these men and women, but the ADoC is making up some bullshit excuse(s) to keep them out. Disgusting.
It's upsetting his fragile ego, but he's not feeling much financial pain. It'll take way more for that to happen...
"Theyre comin' for my guns hunting kit!"
This song rules! 🤘🤘
Ha! Never heard this before, but it's awesome that another group has played with Verdi's "dies irae."
So, this is nothing like what you're looking for, but here's another take on "dies irae" by Symphony X.
This is the state of the world right now: insane ideas like this meant to be an April Fool's joke instead seems like just another crazy and dystopian headline. It's not fun anymore...
Nintendo's been saying this for decades, though this particular message is ridiculous.
But I still love playing my old SNES games. The Switch was laughably under-powered, but I still sank hundreds of hours into dozens and dozens of games... Because Nintendo values gameplay over spectacle. They're not the only ones, of course, but I think they consistently do it better than most.

If it cured my IBS, I'd probably be up for anything...

Jonathan Coulton. His songs are this perfect blend of funny, nerdy, and melancholic. Like, one song is about a self-loathing giant squid that I find myself totally identifying with.
We're good, thanks...
Is this game worth checking out? Or does it need more time?
I agree with you except for the fact that there's just so much bullshit for kids out there, and parents are so exhausted right now (both are working and working longer). So it'd be nice if there was a system that actually looked out for children and people instead of businesses.
At the end of the day, though, it is still the parents' responsibility. It just sucks that this person can wipe their hands of things and think that sufficient.
I dunno... That seems a like disingenuous to make a game specifically for kids and then take no responsibility for what children are exposed to on said game. I'm all for parents taking responsibility and believe that's a problem with many families today, but that just seems a shitty thing for him to say, IMHO.
"Hot Rod" was my introduction to this song. Love it!
Eh, I don't know if CDPR is the best role model...
Good ole Jeff Cannata!
Damn, that's terrible... Did they not have family or someone to check in on them regularly? I guess if she was 65, they thought he was in good hands...
I don't know how easy it is to contact hantavirus. Does it take one rat or a lot?
Yeah, that wss disappointing to read. Based off the new Diggnation episodes, I was hoping Kevin would offer something a bit more genuine and authentic--and who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be incredible--but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
"Spore." That video with Wil Wright showing it off was incredible. Ordered it from Amazon. CD key was no good. EA didn't give two shits. After over a week of dealing with them via support tickets and calls, I gave up and just returned it.
Meanwhile, my friend pirated it, played through the whole thing, and said it was just ok.
Call me crazy, but typically when someone asks for reasons to not kill themselves, depression is involved. Maybe OP was just starting conversation, but given the question and the increasing rate of people struggling with depression, I thought I'd offer my thoughts. I don't believe this answer was condescending.

Constantly having to re-enter password
I'm really enjoying Lemmy and Memmy so far, but even after downloading yesterday's update, I'm constantly having to re-enter my password.
If I force close the app and re-open it, I need to enter my password. If I just minimize the app for a minute or more, I have to enter my password when I come back. If I don't enter my password, it doesn't show any of my subscriptions.
Is there a fix I'm overlooking? Again, I downloaded yesterday's update and double-checked to make sure there's not another update available (as of right now, there's not). I'm using Lemmy.world if that makes a difference.
Thanks for any help!
