  • Bullet points. If you don't have a rapport spell things out paragraph style and then finish the email off with something like this...

So considering the above I'd like to get your opinion on these points:

    1. Do you think the widget should be blue or orange?
    2. Given the expected market impact do we want to bring in PR for our e-widget announcement?
  • OP's last paragraph contains three question marks and essentially one question - the first is their actual question with the following two being escalating statements. If you threw this into a work email with five other questions some people's brains would seize up and just refuse to answer more than one question because they're not certain if there are six or eight genuine questions.

In life and especially a professional setting we're interacting with people in the top 1% of communication skills... and the bottom 25%.

  • Considering your wording in the last paragraph, I'm going to guess that your writing style is frequently overwhelming. Making sure that questions are clearly isolated (I'd suggest using numeric lists or bullet points) makes it clear what response you're expecting.

Additionally, if you're asking several difficult questions, it's likely that people will lose the thread partway through.

  • I moved my stocks into non-US bonds and GICs when the first round of tariffs against us (Canada) happened. At this point I think it'd be a terrible idea to jump ship because you'll realize that loss.

  • Senility and specialty.

People get old and their brains break - it happens to us all.

People who are good at a thing are considered to be good - which they aren't necessarily. Someone who is good at hockey or while being managed by a PR team isn't necessarily a good chef or a good woodworker... this might sound obvious in those cases but people constantly make this mistake when it comes to politics.

  • It doesn't matter if he reverses tariffs. The bridge has been burned.. and the temporary bridge we built out of grace has also been burned.

We're putting all our bridge materials from here on out towards Europe.

  • Eh... eh... eh....

The Liberals deserve a good portion of that blame - especially w.r.t. grocery chains which only got a slap on the wrists after the bread price fixing scheme.

It's not like the CPC would have done anything differently had they been in charge (both parties are deeply neoliberal) but the NDP, Greens or BQ likely would've responded much stronger.

    Be Aware of the CTF

    Their website: https://www.taxpayer.com/

This organization is conservative oriented and advocating against tax auto filing to keep H&R Block and similar rent seekers in business.

Stand strong and in favor of tax auto filing to reduce fraud and waste - there is no reason the government shouldn't estimate our taxes for us.

    Fabricated Conversations

Just a sanity check here but... yall ever been mid conversation with someone and confused that they've forgotten a thing you talked about... until you realize that previous conversation took place entirely in your head?
