    Nobody is thinking they will solve the hunger (because we know how bad the situation is), they are, pressuring a fragile Nazi-esque government and it's supporters to show their real motivations.

  • Right, I think you are right in not trusting too much of Freud, psychology (and especially in it's early days) ia built upon a whole lot of assumptions that somebody kinda pulled out of their ass imo. (They can still be true, but it's often not really verifiable).

    The big contribution of Freud was to corelate conscious actions and thoughts with unconscious, which was a big thing probably.

    Personally point 1,2 and 5 seem true to me because it seems logical and is in line with my personal experiences. 3,4 can be true but it is also a "who the fuck knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯ "

    I get the point they're trying to reinforce but i don't know if using Freud as a strong example is a good idea, even if his work can help with the questioning of one's ideas and actions.

    Anyway, I'm not well versed on psychology or Freud. So take it with a grain of salt.
