  • I'm just here to point out that the image looks like a sand crawler. Utinni!

  • Ubuntu 8.04, Hardy Heron. I miss loving Ubuntu

  • Well done, and yet all I can think is "slap that arm on the back of an S-shaped dragon"

  • I'm in the first camp. Atomic distros sound really neat, but I'm already happy where I am. I wish I could convince the people I work for to stop wanting to jump to some new framework or environment just because it has some neat additional features they didn't know they wanted until someone tried to sell them on it. I don't want to keep rebuilding and converting the same project. (And putting any new feature development on hold while we do so. I wonder why it seems like new ideas never get followed through on.)

  • Dude I felt like I learned how to lucid dream for like 3 dreams and then promptly forgot. Makes me wonder if it's just dreaming about knowing how to lucid dream.

    Good luck in any case

  • Heck yeah man, get em

  • This is awesome! Are you okay with me downloading a copy?

  • Oh, bother

  • ChexQuest marked humanity's peak

  • On the 5th I was out playing some music by my sign that just reads "RESIST FASCISM". It was wild how many offended people were telling me I didn't really know what fascism really meant. Got a lot of "fascism isn't bad, actually" vibes but did my best to avoid getting pulled into those conversations, I'd just shrug and say I was going by what it says on Merriam-Webster, Oxford, Cambridge, Britannica, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia...

  • I was hoping there would be something about resource usage. Curse you, steamwebhelper

  • Why should I leave? They're the ones who suck. I'm not giving any ground

  • I like this

  • Huh, now I'm curious when exactly the flashlight stopped showing up as a search symbol, stamped out by the magnifying glass.

But yeah man, I love cheese

  • As a disgruntled American, please show the numbskies that have taken over our country that their actions can have actual tangible consequences. Everyone in power over here seems to just be shrugging their shoulders

"Agni the plasmoid cleric" (MacDraw II)

This is Agni the plasmoid cleric, my son's D&D character as drawn by me in MacDraw II. I'm trying to get some experience with action poses.

"In a fix, in a bind, call on us anytime!" (MacDraw II)

The Rescuers wasn't exactly one of my favorites growing up, but it still made it into my rotation from time to time. It cracks me up how into the performance these two get at this part of the Rescue Aid Society song. Go get em, Latvia and France!

    "Seam the Seapkeeper" (MacDraw II)

Seam (pronounced "Shawm") is my favorite Deltarune character. Everything about him, from his design to his dialogue to his lore, tells you that this old stuffed cat has been through some things. Despite clearly having come out the worse for wear from his experiences, he maintains a sense of positivity - almost a gleeful nihilism. I always got the impression that he actually cares a bit more than he lets on.

I just could not figure out what to do with his mouth to make it not look quite so flat. Overall, this one was a lot tougher than I thought it'd be.

"Greetings from your friendly neighborhood tax-collector!" (MacDraw II)

The Sheriff of Nottingham was that character I loved to hate. He could be so sleazy and it was hilarious watching all the townsfolk react when he'd show up pretending to be likeable. His design and voice acting made him one of my favorite characters in the movie.

    "Vivi" (MacDraw II)

The character Vivi from Final Fantasy IX, tied with Steiner as my favorites in that game (so cool that they can combo attack together!). Hands are hard, but I'm proud of the "shading" on the knobbly staff! I also think the thicker 2pt lines look better than the 1pt lines I've been using in the past.

As per usual while I'm still in this learning stage, I used a reference image.

    "Tracer Bullet" (MacDraw II)

My attempt to use MacDraw II to draw (copycat) the popular image of Calvin's "Tracer Bullet" alter-ego from Calvin & Hobbes. I wanted some practice with the neat shadow technique.
