What's up with that question lol, non-meat food products are considered vegan yes. Not everyone who is vegan is so because they wanna boycot meat industry profits. Some people do a halal diet because there allergic to pork. That doesn't make them Muslim. I do hate the fact that we're systematicly mass murdering animals but i am not ashamed that meat is a considerable part of my diet. If every human could just nudge themselves into being perfect and logical of will and needs we would have been living in eden by now.
also if i am gonna have to stop partaking in any part of society that depends on something i find problematic i might as well go for my age old fantasy of going minecraft irl, living in the woods... and realistic die soon for the benefit of none and harm for my family. I am really sorry i pissed you all of, i just recently switched on a whim while i was gething super into being a windows poweruser and i swear i have nothing but love <3 i saw a really cool hyper-land interface, it was fast, beuatifull. i dig that. I installed it and i except for work i only used windows as a virtual dekstop 3 times in the month i am doing it.

Context: I have been a dual monitor enthusiast ever since i found an old unused CRT monitor on my parents attic. This has since been a core part of how i use computers. Currently i am rocking a standard 1440p main monitor and a vertical (16:10 FTW) 1050p one. My reliance on needing more screen space then my peers goes as far as my job having to purchase me an extra monitor as part of my disability package.

Tips/ideas for automatically downloading youtube videos from specific channels? (on Linux)
In the light of google cracking down on ad block i want to be pro-active and automatically download new videos to my jelly fin server.
I was thinking off using this tool https://youtube-dl.org/ and writing a small script for it (with help of gpt4) but i am missing any general strategy on when i should trigger it and how to make sure it downloads all of the new videos exactly once.
I am hoping that i am not the first to do this and people can give me some good tips before i put to much work into this project.

I've spend a lot of time on r/singularity the past year but over that time i have seen it grow pretty disappointing.
The complexity of "The Singularity" means that some great articles, like those on nanoparticles, get overlooked and buried because they're harder to understand than a ChatGPT meme (no offense to those, though).
Finding new, high-quality content to share on this topic isn't easy either, especially with the influx of sensationalist articles. And if I do find a great article, chances are high that @Martineski has already posted it (good job, by the way).
So, here's an idea: why don't we get some futuristic help? There's a bunch of websites that are generally posted here more frequently because there content is just more aligned with out interests (my guess). We could have an AI sift through the .rss feeds from these sites, pick out the best articles, post them here and even include a brief summary explaining why you, an interested singularity enjoyer should care.
