Yeah, I remember Amazon the book store. I still had my mom take me to the local bookstores, cause I knew them and the people, so I was comfortable lol. I remember when Prime launched. I don't think anyone was expecting that, at the time. Free 2-day shipping on so many products was insane. And all for $89?/yr? Especially, when everywhere else online charged anywhere from $5-10. It was truly the Walmart of the online world. They ate shipping costs, which killed them, and put hurt their competition until AWS became such a powerhouse and they had a monopoly on online marketplaces.
I'm curious as to why? CD's are the ultimate form of audio purity, in my opinion. I've got a kickass stereo set-up with a CD and vinyl hook up; also a cassette, but she don't work so good no more. I always rip my CD's to FLAC so I can put it on my iPod.
well, not exactly. weather can be bad enough to ground commercial flights. but private, federal jets, with a qualified pilot, whose probably ex air force anyway, could. commercial flights take way more precautions in weather due to liabilities. so yeah, this seems like a pretty big fuck up.
another hard agree. also, sedentary lifestyles contribute a shocking amount to weight gain. if you average walking 10km a day, which is very doable, you will lose weight/maintain easy. it's what I do. i do eat well, most times, but I also enjoy treats, and junk. it's not super hard, just takes effort.
absolutely! the problem with GLP-1 inhibitors is that, you commonly lose enough of an appetite that most folks who don't have good eating habits, find themselves nutrionally deficient. it's a large problem in america with the dearth of fast food restaurants
edit: my original point was more that the average Joe isn't eating enough nutrients. although, there are common enough side effects that physically prevent eating enough.
So, after reading through it; it's a clever idea. One that I think is ultimately fruitless, for the most part. For one, the federal government holds higher authority than the state. Things will end up drug out in court for so long, there'll have been at least two elections. As far as the PAC stuff goes, what's to prevent a corporation from taking the hit on tax breaks and incentives, to far out fund their puppet politician's opposition and just become the new cost of business? It seems like you could create a brand new power disparity with that. We need action, far faster, than state level legislation can give us. How many of these will die in sub committees? We need to turn the midterms, priority one. Full stop. Nothing else matters until you have the right people at the federal level now.
I was just gonna edit my post, and say this, but I think it's worthy as it's own post. I like how you bring up "in vain", because it's something I detest in the western Christian church mythos. they consider using G-d's name to be in vain whenever you say it out of the context of evangelism, almost. When, in fact, the use of in vain, is using G-d's name to justifying your crimes, is using Their name in vain. It's a pretty neat distinction in the Ancient Hebrew, that western Christianity has conveniently forgot. Thanks, Rome!
It's not that I worry about it, it's a part of me. It's not something that I even really think about anymore, I just write it inherently. I actually had a wonderfully, rich conversation with a friend about it recently.
Thanks for asking if that's something I worry about instead of belittling me!
