I did that

  • Thankyou sir, it's been tough coming back to this timeline. 😅

  • I did that

  • I will consider you a human from now on...

  • I've used a single zero and that works fine too.

  • I already get tags from Fediseer - I don't really present them other than in the filters section.

I could probably ad them somewhere else or expand the list view with more information. Time is still pretty tight to work on new features though :(

  • lemmyverse.net looks to be unmaintained and is becoming increasingly less useful

  • I wonder why they all follow each other into the water!?

  • Lemmyverse supports mbin already! there's a little option in the top right menu. (migrated from kbin)

I'm mainly interested in Lemmy communities (given the name) and given I've mostly run out of time for features, they are a bit slower lately 😅

  • that's pretty much what I do, it crawls through all the Lemmy sites (and Mbin) and data is updated each 6 hours. I've been thinking about storing a longer history of data so I could add some more graphs and stuff.

also I will probably publish the raw redis dump, which might allow for some more analytics based on it.

  • you could also use the communities export from lemmyverse data dumps. I'd have to add some more historical metrics into redis, for communities. I already keep historical metrics, but just don't publish them.

  • Funny you say that, I literally made a branch last night looking to add more graphs and stats 😁 I wanted to add some more pretty graphs and improve the inspector page a bit.

It'll probably take a little while but I'll see what I can do 👍👏

Edit, this kinda exists already... https://lemmyverse.net/instance/sh.itjust.works

  • Yes and yes. Been working in my install of Discord Canary for a few months now.

  • hmm I wondered this too. I have a ton of starred places as well as some custom lists. I wasn't able to find anything to do it, but would also be interested in this.

  • yeah buddy, they are quick! also, im pretty sure you can still get a 7-day free trial, maybe you need to register with a referral code.

the ability to upgrade to 1000/400 for a couple days is great for doing backups 🤘

  • I loved my S10e, but upgraded recently to the S24 (the normal sized one) and it's been smooth sailing.

  • yep, 100% set yourself up a pihole. You'll likely need to set it as your DNS via DHCP in your router, or configure it manually on devices that allow that.

  • lol TPG is the worst ISP. churn to something smaller. Launtel is win.

Edit, my referral code is "TGXN" if anyone tries it 🫰

    Lemmy Moderation Tooling

I just posted about this on [email protected], but figured 'd share it here as well. :)

I'm the author of lemmyverse.net and I've recently been working on a new moderation tool called Lemmy Modder. https://modder.lemmyverse.net/

Currently, it supports user registration/approvals and content report management. I offer it either as a hosted app (which is currently only compatible with Lemmy 0.18 instances) or a package that you can run alongside your Lemmy instance (using Docker-Compose)

Feel free to give it a go and send any feedback my way :) https://github.com/tgxn/lemmy-modder

Edit for a note: This tool does not save, proxy or store any of your user credentials or data to me, it is only ever stored locally in your browser. I also do not use any website tracking tools. 👍

    Lemmy EZ-Mode Docker-Compose Stack

I made this stack based on my own deployment of Lemmy, it should allow anyone to run a Lemmy stack in Compose, with LE SSL behind Traefik. I've tested it behind docker-compose on Windows and Ubuntu. Interested in any feedback or PRs :)

    Lemmy Fediverse Browser (Lemmyverse)

I've been working on this for a couple weeks now, if you've not seen it then it lets you search/filter communities and instances on all Lemmy instances.

Currently over 1k instances and 26k communities! We're growing hella fast!

All open-source and up on GitHub

    Hey All

Hey all, I'm a mod from the /r/cableporn community over on Reddit. Just checking in! I might look to make a bot to re-post some top submissions that we've had on Reddit, to get some content going around here!
