  • Second this for the US. Nothing major as a nation, but various small things in different areas or cities.

I know Hawaii does a Lei Day- “May day is Lei Day in Hawaii”. Not a full on holiday, but there’s usually festivities of various levels around the islands.

  • Fair enough! I grew up on the gulf coast and have traveled all over the deep south, have family from northern Louisiana, and my parents lived in Baton Rouge for a while- so i wasnt trying to “assume” for you! A1 (for me) is just one of those things that seemed so common i stopped seeing it and never needed to look for it! Like I said, you aint missing much, so im glad you aren’t familiar with it cause there are waaay better options where you’re at!!

  • Odd you havent seen it being from the south…but that’s probably for the better! It’s Steak Sauce. Meant to be put on steaks…it’s in all major grocery chains and usually on the tables at most restaurants serving any sort of a steak menu. Bottle is shaped like a Worcestershire bottle, but has a white label with a big A1 on it. I never cared for it so at this point couldn’t even tell you what it tastes like. If a steak needs a sauce, then it’s not a good steak.

With that said, i’ve seen it used as a marinade ingredient, or more complex sauce ingredient- so it’ll still have its uses.

  • You’re not wrong, but if not for the massive billboards and the american branded vehicles- ive been to a number of cities in Europe and the UK that look like this or worse, with more traffic and more, much larger buildings….(i currently live in Germany…) Also, places in Hawaii do look like this, too, unfortunately…mostly Maui and Hawai’i where there’s this much space, but Ohau’s south shore has been bad far a long time 😕

  • I played through all 3 games again back-to-back a few years ago (having previously only played separately as they released), lots of stuff tie them all together and loop back to familiar scenes and incidents from different angles and times, even a 2 part DLC for Infinite. Basically looping back to where the first game starts that kinda makes it an Infinite story loop…very well done.

Also, there’s a book that prequels the first game- tells the story of Ryan building Rapture and how it all got started. Lots of back-story and lore on quite a few characters…especially “Fontaine” and how he ended up as the fish merchant…

  • If you’re in the US, RockyMountainATV/MC has always been my go to for the best OEM parts availability and prices for offroad bikes. Not to mention great selection of aftermarket parts as well. KLX should still get some parts support from there, likely sharing parts with the KX line. They might actually ship out of the US, but ive never tried?

My next go to is Motorsport.com, but RMATVMC almost always has the best prices and best shipping for OEM.

  • Lately we’ve been acquiring and rewatching a lot of old 90s cartoons/TV shows with our daughter, and i feel this so much. The fade-to-black at a particular scene for the commercial break, the ‘brought to you by…’ that’s written in. And then the nostalgic memory of the types of commercials that would play, like for different toys and such that were sometimes just as exciting to watch as whatever show was on!

  • Yes, but more often than normal this time of year. Our current house doesn't have a fireplace, so I’ll put on some fireplace loop video on the TV and use Sonos (through the TV audio system) for the music. Sonos is already our main source for any music in the house and not all fireplace videos have decent music, or at least whatever music we might want at the time.

When I used to play MMOs I did this fairly often as well during the grind. Wouldn't really need the game audio, so I’d just pipe something else in.

  • Isn’t voting open for much longer than 1 day? Polls are already open…and so is early voting and mail-in ballots, etc. Election Day is just like the last day when (allegedly) the winner is decided. Not really a point for a full-on, everything closed type holiday, or even a “bank holiday” like President’s Day.

  • AkShUaLlY…. It’s pronounced “Kel-a-born”….but I still applaud your humor!

Most, if not all c’s are pronounced as hard K’s in Elvish (Elven?) languages.

It does get a little weird with places like Cirith Ungol, but there are, allegedly, older maps where it’s spelled Kirith.
