That's what EU is for (in Europe), but honestly, even as an avid gamer, there are other priorities, even in the IT/digital department (european alternatives, open source, research, ...), so as of now I keep voting with my wallet

Korn - Follow The Leader (1998)

You mean Trump is offering tourists to Canada and Europe, for free ?
Aww, and I thought he was just a big dumb meanie
Even on Windows I'm scared to update them
Last time I did (a year ago) I had a performance drop and had to rollback
Displaying a swastika or other human horrors in a video/artwork doesn't mean you're promoting it (maybe it was in your example)

It's indeed a genre where you need to do some background check
But you can find Black Metal bands that hate all humans equally
Also when I see a Black Metal band with "wolf" in its name
I'd suggest Helldivers 2, Darktide or Vermintide 2, World War Z
I haven't played Space Marines 2 (yet) but it's definitely on our backlog with some friends
Dying Light is good fun too in coop

Native Construct - Quiet World (2015)

The first Witcher game is quite old but you could like the gameplay (it's not action oriented, unlike the 2 following Witcher games)
It's honestly not great looking but the story is great, and who knows, you might fall in love with a great franchise :)
I'll second Dragon Age since it's less action oriented than Mass Effect (which is great but OP seems more interested in strategy/management than shooting)
Mass Effect has a "tactical pause" feature though, but it feels less Baldur-like :)
That's word for word what some friends and I always say when we go kayaking
Except it's about cormorans instead of dolphins, they're legion where we are and come and go inside and outside of the water
We're never getting TES VI, right ?
What about Underworld ?
Is it signed by Donaldus Trumpei ?
Well, no offense but getting away from Apple should be a great first step to fossify your digital life :)
I just use emails with my friends who are on Whatsapp
One of them migrated from Gmail to Protonmail so maybe he could help move to a "non GAFAM" environment
The SpamBlocker I was refering to is on Android (f-droid), I'm not sure about iOS
I only used Discord with a bunch of friends I play with, no "official game servers" so it was pretty easy
The hard task will be to have some other non-gaming friends to join, because they use Whatsapp (which me and my gaming friends refuse to touch)
AntennaPod is a pretty great podcast player, far better than the one Google did (and abandonned)
Newsblur is the only RSS reader that I've found that can apply filters to feeds
I've switched from Discord to Element with some friends for daily text chat and vocal chat (video games) and it's less cluttered than Discord, and the voice even sounds better
SpamBlocker is a better phone/SMS spam filter than the proprietary ones I've tried
Firefox (and forks) has been my browser for more than 20 years, I can't go back to proprietary ones

Snot - Get Some (1997)

Oceans Of Slumber - Where Gods Fear To Speak (2024)

Body Count - Body Count (1992)

Hate Eternal - Infernus (2015)

Solium Fatalis – Genetically Engineered To Enslave (2018)

I'm a sucker for sci-fi covers

Thirst Planet - The Essence (2018)

I just love the 70's sci-fi vibe

Job For A Cowboy - Demonocracy (2012)

13 years later this cover is still sadly relevant

Anciients - Beyond The Reach Of The Sun (2024)

Need suggestions for a medieval/fantasy action game
I play mostly sci-fi games but I enjoy a good ol' swordfighting once in a while.
What could you suggest as a good single player action game with melee and maybe a dash of spellcasting/"powers" ? It can be TPS or FPS
Although it should (here comes the nitpicking) :
- not be a stealth game or stealth-adjacenr like Assassin's Creed or Shadow Of Mordor
- not be a souls-like (I play for fun, not to puke blood)
- have health regen (at least out of combat) or any mean to heal without having to look after potions or food while out of combat
If possible a good story would be a major plus, but it doesn't need to be The Witcher level of good. And I'm more than fine with AA games, or older games as long as the art direction is nice.
EDIT: thanks for the suggestions, I realize I should have mentionned the "similar" games I've already played :
- The Witcher trilogy
- Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim
- Dragon's Dogma
- God Of War (liked the combat, not the difficulty)
- Darksiders
- The Lord of the Ri

Brutal Truth - Sounds Of The Animal Kingdom (1997)

Nothing really artsy fartsy but still my favorite album cover to this day
