  • I never played the game, so I'm not sure what SnapMap is (Fandom says it's a map editor), but there is a note in the "Details" that says SnapMap cosmetics are unlocked by default. Is that something else?

  • I wish I could say the same for pull ups.

Back when I was working on them, I made crazy progress on pull ups by doing negatives. Let's say my goal was 10 pull ups, and I was only able to do 5, I finished the set with 5 negatives. I was amazed at how quickly I got to 10 regular pull ups.

  • I found an NPR article that says people who were vaccinated before 1968 did not receive the live vaccine, so they should get revaccinated. Also people vaccinated between 1968 and 1989 probably only received one dose, so they should make sure they've had a second dose.

The NPR article links to a page on the CDC Website, but that page doesn't mention any of that information anymore. You can find the info on an archived version from February, when the NPR article was posted.

  • While we're at it, I have some other suggestions...

For example, in year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s," and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all.
\ Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants. Bai iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez "c," "y" and "x"--bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez--tu riplais "ch," "sh," and "th" rispektivli.
\ Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld.

  • I don't see any pictures of the tattoo in the article. For anyone curious, this video shows the tattoo at about 2:15.

It's a colorful, twisted ribbon made of puzzle pieces. The name of his 15 year old brother, who has autism, is on the tattoo.

  • Ok, I'm loving the idea of making cases for my GoG backups. I didn't see a reference to the community. Can you provide a link?

Edit: I found this page, which has a dead link to the "up-to-date" list.

    Low battery notification requrst

Is there any way to remotely get a low battery notification for my Steam Deck? I don't use it every day, and batteries don't like to sit on a charger continuously, so it might sit idle for a couple days, (relatively) slowly losing charge.

I have the Steam App on my phone, and Valve has my email address. It would be great if the Steam Deck could send out an SOS before it dies.

    "Popular" Playlists

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to create a playlist of songs from my library that have been released as "singles" or "Top 40s" across a time period?

Let's say I wanted to throw a 90s party, and I wanted to create a playlist from my library using only songs that people are likely to know. I recognize that's totally subjective, so maybe that's why I'm struggling to find what I want. I can create a playlist based on album release date, which gets me a bit of the way there, but the playlist is going to include a lot of "deep cut" tracks and whole albums that few people know. I'd rather not spend too long curating the list. I was hoping for a way to just find popular tracks, and it seems like basing it on "chart toppers" would be a good place to start. Ideally, it would be genre-independent, but limited to songs that got decent radio play, so Backstreet Boys to Korn to Shania Twain are fine. Yo Yo Ma maybe not so much.

It doesn't seem like Plex has information avail
