Does the issue occur on the latest beta, v1.0.252? If so, which instance specifically? I tried going to the different communities on v251 and pulling up posts seemed to work fine.
Is this happening on v1.0.250 or higher? A fix was implemented in that version and I haven't noticed an issue since. Even on the latest v252.
The update should be available to you in the Android or Apple app store. The only thing I can think of where it's not is it you left the beta program; in which case, rejoin?
Post overflow menu cleanup?
The post overflow menu includes separate options to view the user and community for the post. Perhaps this could be removed since the option to do so are available outside of the menu and I imagine few people are using it. But I could be wrong, if people think it's useful, please chime in.
Also, if the share button is selected as a secondary button, the option should be removed from the post overflow; the save button does this.
Venetian blinds rendering
I'm not sure what that Unicode is called but it reminds me of blinds. I kind of dismissed the first instance in the screenshot but them I saw the issue in a post title. Links for the two instances.

Profile picture errors
Started seeing this every now and then on v251. Previously I don't recall seeing this. It only occurs when a profile picture has issues loading and typically is temporary; the error is removesd once the link resolves. Before it's resolved, it can be a hindrance.
I support apps being more verbose and error messages but in this particular case, I don't think the error message is necessary; if the a profile picture link doesn't resolve, so be it. Maybe on an user profile page, it may be more of a consideration.
It seemed like it was fixed in v246 but somehow broke again in that version? I'm on v249 and still haven't seen any comments highlighted.
EDIT: I post that and then it works one time. It randomly works but mostly not for me.
EDIT2: Specifically, I have the comment button as a secondary button and when there's an orange number, that means there's new comments but when I view those posts, most of the time there's no highlighting whatsoever.
Link opening in external browser broken
Was working in a recent version but now everything opens in the internal browser. I'm on v247.
EDIT: For posts with links where the thumbnail is not resolving, the link goes to the external browser. For everything else, it opens in the internal browser; with the open external setting on.

New comment highlighting broken
It was working in a recent version but I no longer see the highlighting in v244&245. Tried toggling the setting on and back on but nada.

Export settings not exporting all settings
First and foremost, I'm really glad this feature has finally been added. Many have requested and it's here. Unfortunately, it's not fully baked yet.
Filters(keyword), MultiCommunities, and user notes are not exported in v244. Domain and other filters may also not be exported; I didn't have those so I'm not sure if they get exported.
So whatever you do, don't go clearing the app cache and expect everything to be saved when you import. Like I did. I only have myself to blame for testing freshly implemented features on beta builds. Losing my user notes hurt.
Connect not showing long comment chain
I was looking at this thread and, at the time of this post, it's supposed to have 41 comments but Connect only showed a handful. Opening the post in a browser shows the missing comments, some of which were moderated and removed. One comment, that had a long chain, was removed but many of its replies were not and shows up in the browser. Not sure if the moderation action is the cause of Connect not showing the chain or maybe because it's long?
Keyboard pop-up bug
Recently, I noticed the keyboard would sometimes pop up at random times and I finally figured out reproducible steps.
Search any community from the sidebar and tap on it. Tap on a post and then tap and hold the screen, sliding it to the right. The keyboard should popup for some reason, even though there is no input field on-screen(after the post view is off-screen). This only seems to happen if the search field in the sidebar has text inputted. I was wondering why the heck the keyboard keeps popping up.
Pinned posts showing up at bottom of page 1
Pinned posts were showing up at the top of communities a couple of versions back but they're following your sort settings in v241. And I think a few versions prior as well.
EDIT: Ah, so they're actually showing up at the bottom of page 1. They don't follow your sort settings and enabling the page number setting revealed that specific.
I have community banners enabled now but for people that prefer it off, maybe a share and info option for MultiCommunities could be added to the MultiCommunity overflow menu? There's no way to share or check a shared MultiCommunity otherwise and I think the banner setting is also off by default.
You can also file with just a phone call. There are a couple of restrictions so it's on an invite basis still. I found out about it after I filed so I might give it a whirl next year; if I remember.
Vote count sometimes not updating until feed update bug
I'm not sure what the trigger is for this but it seems to occur after a couple hours of not using Connect. So sometimes when I view posts in a community, the vote count for it is around half of the actual count when I go back to viewing the community page. If I open the community in my browser, the current vote count indicates the community view in Connect is up to date. I can view other posts or go back into affected posts and the count will be incorrect.
I think viewing other subscribed communities will also not fix the problem. It is corrected when I view one of my feeds and then go back to the posts. I've only noticed this happening with the Canada community on Lemmy.ca, so it may be community specific but I suspect it's not and my other subscribed communities aren't as active to test.
I've only noticed this recently, so maybe it's only been introduced in to last couple of updates, or it's been longer and I haven't paid attention.

The multi-community share link doesn't do anything for me? Ditto, tapping on the link in my browser. I'm on v239.
EDIT: An option to delete a MultiCommunity needs to be added.
Also, having the add MultiCommunity from the subscription section of the main menu would be nice. Another place is the community about page and maybe the community overflow menu(the upper one, after you tap on a post).
EDIT2: So you can delete a MultiCommunity by removing all of its linked communities but this may not be intuitive and having a delete option in the MultiCommunity overflow menu would be useful.
Also, I was trying to find the minus button you mentioned and it didn't click to me that I had to go back into the "Add multi" selection again. Maybe it could be renamed to MultiCommunity or something, since you're not always going in there to add.
EDIT3: If you set a MultiCommunity as the default, it doesn't show the (D).
To change the default sort, tap on "Post Customizations", in Settings, and it's right at the top, labelled "Default sort for posts.
That doesn't sound like a bug, that sounds like a feature in this particular case.
EDIT: I mean to say it's fitting given the community, nothing against the community itself.
Draft not saved after setting image?
I typed out a post and went to add the picture for it but after the upload, a draft wasn't saved and the body section was empty. It was only two sentences so not a big loss. This is with v232.
Also, can the title be saved with the drafts as well? The title field is never saved.
EDIT: Interestingly, the title is saved after selecting an image but the body is not. While a saved draft, after backing out of post creation, doesn't include the title.
EDIT2: Another bug is post edits are no longer appearing after you submit them. Even when you back out to the community view and go into the post to refresh it, the updated post is not reflected and you need to reopen Connect for the things to be updated.
Hourly sort options gone?
Sort options like Top 6 hours, Top 1 hour are missing from v229?
Maybe it's more like 250ms than half a second. I was referring to the overflow menu on the feeds page but the lower one on the page where you're viewing a post is the same. There's a delay contrast from the upper one versus the lower one. The upper one appears at what seems like normal speed and the lower one is noticeably slower.
Also there's a bug with the upper one where you get that gray screen. After I back out of composing or editing a reply, when I tap on the upper overflow menu, I consistently get a gray screen. Have to back gesture to dismiss the gray screen.
Post overflow menu issues
After you tap on the three dots to bring up the new overflow menu, tapping outside of it to dismiss the menu registers as a regular tap on the feed. So I tap to close the menu but end up going to a post I didn't intend to.
There also seems to be a delay of half a second or so from tapping on the menu and it appearing. This is occurring on my Pixel 6 on v226. IIRC the old menu was faster.
Also I wanna throw shade at the new organization. It definitely looks better and should be organized. Personally, I liked having the option to block the community directly from the menu; now I have to tap on the block sub-menu first. Like the add user notes, now I gotta tap once more. But I'll adjust.
Blocking user updates feed
Similar to how blocking communities would update your feed by removing pertinent posts, it would be nice if blocking users did the same. Also, please have it save your place on the feed after the update.

I can't remember how the old one worked but I think it didn't have a save button and you could just tap outside the UI to save it? Also, maybe the change was implemented a few versions back and I haven't noticed.
Personally, I prefer the old, simpler one. The current UI has a form auto-full feature that I'm not sure I'll use. At first I typed in my note and then tapped outside the prompt and the thing disappeared and didn't save. Not a big deal since it was just two letters. But I didn't expect the prompt to close since the field had input and my tap was intended to minimize the auto-fill dialogue as it was covering the save button.
I'm curious what other people think about the new UI.
Video continues playing after being closed?
After unmuting the video here and then closing it, the audio continues to play. This is occuring on v224.
EDIT: Occuring with other videos so it's not specific to that one. The only way to stop the audio at the moment is to go back to the video that was playing and mute it.
It's made in Canada. But is it a product of Canada?
I'm not getting the home feed problem. It loads up fine after I go back twice on the error.
Just to add, this occurs only if the poster's home instance and instance of the post is a mismatch. When I made an edit on a Lemmy.ca instance, it went through fine. It's only after I submitted an edit to a post on Lemmy.world that I was able to reproduce the reported bug.
EDIT: Tested and confirmed it's also an issue with Lemmy.ml, so it's not with Lemmy.world.
.gif file gray screen rendering bug
I'm consistently getting this bug on 1.0.216. If I go to this post, tap on IninewCrow's comment, that starts with "Like Drump ...", to minimize that thread, then tap on it again to restore the thread, everything below their comment becomes an endless gray screen. Backing out and then opening the post again will fix the problem. When first entering the post, if I tap on a comment in one of the other thread chains, then I'm able to minimize comments in that particular chain without triggering the bug.
EDIT: This looks related so I'll add it here. If I go to this post, tap on AlolanVulpix's link, back out to the post, then tap on the overflow menu for the post, the whole screen becomes gray.
Also, AlolanVulpix's link isn't being resolved correctly by Connect and produces a "GoException: no routes for location: /post/39971490/14887796?hint=39971490/14887796&hintInstance=lemmy.ca" error but viewing the post in the b
I'm not sure if it's working but here are 2 exceptions to the new feature.
It's fixed in the latest beta. After you update, just toggle it back to Top in Comment Customizations, in Settings.
The bug occurs with it on or off. Had it off and enabling the option but the bug persisted, after toggling the default sort to Top.
EDIT: This is on the current beta.
User instance in user search?
Would be nice to have a user's instance displayed in the results on the user search page. I was glad to see the change for the feed and post page and it would be helpful to be able to distinguish who's who at a glance. Particularly when you're trying to find a specific user and there's multiple accounts across instances with the same nickname.
The dev mentioned they're working on this. If you haven't already, you may want to enroll in the beta builds since it'll be released there first. And they're pretty stable.
What's your opinion on the feed upvote/downvote layout?
With the option enabled, you can see post downvote tallies as well but it's displayed as a ratio. Unless I'm forgetting or just missed it, I haven't seen anyone comment on it either. Good or bad.
Personally, I don't like it and would prefer separate numbers for the upvotes and downvotes. The ratio stands out. Not just within Connect UI but also compared to other platforms' design. Separate numbers would make the UI more standard and also reduce the extra spacing to make room for the height difference.
If you completely disagree, that's totally valid and I'm actually more curious to see these comments, for perspective.
