  • I use Recipe Keeper for Android. It converts pics, text and URLs to recipes, has a shopping list function, and is a 1-time purchase after the 1st 20 recipes you store. It's also very simple - does everything I need and nothing I don't.

  • Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes, well, the bear eats you.

  • I call all of it "sugar water" so that my kids know the two main ingredients.

  • From SCOTUSblog,

“Based on two words separated by 16 others in … IEEPA—‘regulate’ and ‘importation’—the President asserts the independent power to impose tariffs on imports from any country, of any product, at any rate, for any amount of time,” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote. “Those words,” he continued, “cannot bear such weight.” “IEEPA,” Roberts added, “contains no reference to tariffs or duties.” Moreover, “until now no President has read IEEPA to confer such power.”

"Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote the main dissent, which was joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito."

  • His argument is: 16 hours daily use is not addiction IF THAT IS THE ONLY FACTOR. He repeats it again and again. But that argument is stupid, because it ignores the other well-known and proven variables of addiction. Does this behavior have serious effects on your mental and physical health? Does it interrupt your work and play? Do you have an obsessive need to do it? The list goes on.

Who put this genius in front of a microphone?

  • I didn't even know that was a possibility. That's cool.

You don't have to play daily to keep up the streak, you just have to get 0 stars or more (complete the puzzle). If you take a week off and come back and don't lose, you continue the streak.

I don't know how going back to old puzzles changes the streak.

  • This is for the 30-55 year old demo, for sure. Young enough that you had to learn to keep pace with technology and old enough that devices your kids use are mostly plug and play. Bit at what cost? AT WHAT COST?

  • Fucking Amazon. They're dominating the replacement parts and hardware market so much that even the big box stores are decreasing their inventory for stuff I need daily for my job. Whatever I need, Amazon can get it to me faster and cheaper than anybody else - I know why and I hate that is the case. I am forced to participate to stay solvent in my work, forced to participate in the "land of the free."

  • That can't be true, it's just for satire, right? Right?

  • The whole album is great! One of my favorites.

  • I read that in a Ferengi voice: "Top hooman says blah blah."

  • It's pedophiles all the way down...

No one had to invent a cheese pizza scandal or any other far flung theory, it's happening with photographic and documented proof right before everyone's eyes. I know that right-wingers have a strict in-group vs out-group ideology, but when your in-group includes SO MANY known pedophiles... I mean, c'mon.

  • Have you watched any other Trek besides those two? If not, you'll probably enjoy Discovery.

I tried to get into Discovery when it first aired, coming from being steeped in the TNG era shows. It was not the Trek I was used to and I felt it didn't show reverence for the franchise. Now that Academy is out, though, I'm planning to rewatch and finish Discovery.

  • Don't worry, even the cast forgot this was a plot point.

  • Bad Bunny skipped the US dates of his tour because of the threat of ICE casing the joint. This is sending a message: a racist, stupid, eye-rollingly obvious message. I imagine this will go over worse than showing Trump's image on the jumbotron.
