  • and is expected to double again in the next 20. It is now one of the fastest-growing neurological disorders in the world, outpacing stroke and multiple sclerosis

Why is it expected to double again? How can you make that prediction when you aren't sure why it doubled in the first place. Unless it's more prevalent because people live longer and you expect people to live even longer in the future (we can have pretty good modelling of this).

Is it the growth that's greater than the growth of stroke and MS or is Parkinson's more common than those diseases? Seems unclear. If it's growth then how is it relevant? Is stroke and MS case load growing at an alarming rate?

Doesn't it seem weird that they don't see an increased Parkinson's rate in farmers? Asbestos was identified as a danger because it killed the miners and craftsmen working with it.

  • From the comments from the judges it seems that they don't think the current shape of the law is good but they don't have the authority to apply a different interpretation (not surprising that British law is not inclusive). So it is up to parliament to change the law.

But it also sounds like Scotland has to change how they do things? Or make an additional law for Scotland that covers how they have been doing things so far.

  • Enshittification is about maximizing revenue, typically in a way that destroys your product. Examples are ads on subscription video streaming services. Another good example is how some music artists say no to getting paid by Spotify and Spotify then suggests those songs more and collects the money that would have gone to that artist.

How the fuck is AI going to do anything about that? Are we talking Skynet, end of the world type thing? That should do it.

  • He only got three years but China changed the laws based on this dickhead so now it's a lot more. In China at least. I'm sure there are plenty of countries where it's only marginally illegal.

  • I think about 96% of mammal biomass is either humans or domestic animals so if we ignore the 4% wild animals it suddenly because a much easier task.

Like, throwing enough botulinum toxin into the ocean to kill all the whales would be annoying.

  • And then sometimes they are right and they have to work really hard to convince other people and they get famous and stuff. And then they think that their other ideas that are outside the mainstream are also genius because they had them, e.g. vitamin c against cancer or racism. But they don't work really hard to prove them because they are famous now so why should they. They never find out that their terrible ideas are terrible and die hated by everyone.

    Wtf Kinich?

I hadn't realised Kinich had been replaced until he showed up in the quest. It's... bad. Completely dead voice. Really don't look forward to them changing the rest of his lines :(
