Michigan has altered rules that previously barred all state workers from employment if they failed a preemployment drug screen for marijuana.

Poked ‘em with the ol stoke handshake
This is our future’s third place

This was the only thing I said within 60 seconds of the debate starting. We are so fucked
It all comes down to food. Once we have a collapse of global food supply there will be revolts.
I meant auto manufacturers could start building trains, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Ya know?
TBH I think the best case scenario is auto manufacturers get into the train business. Sure it’d take a while but it makes sense from a mechanical and supply chain perspective.
Not holding my breath on that one though…
I have 4, could maybe justify a 5th but honestly that would take up too much space in my basement.
Sure would be a great time for Tesla employees to Unionize!
Awesome, thank you!
Paywalled…can you post the text in a comment?
Great to see new technology in an area that hasn’t changed much over the last 30 years.
Are we not able to start the same Plex sharing here on Lemmy?
Michigan has altered rules that previously barred all state workers from employment if they failed a preemployment drug screen for marijuana.
Marijuana testing will remain in place for a large swath of government employees, including health workers, state police and Michigan Department of Corrections officers. But effective Oct. 1 eliminates the requirement for office staff and those applying for positions that don’t require driving, operation of heavy machinery or handling of hazardous materials.
It’s going to be natural gas…. But I wish the answer was more solar. Natural gas is critical in the northern hemisphere for safety. Until there are significant investments for power storage from solar we are going to need gas.
Growing Michigan Polulation Council Adds Three Lawmakers Under 50
A new council tasked with reversing Michigan’s stagnant population got younger Thursday but remains significantly older than the state.
The average age on the council now a ripe young age of 52. Something tells me these people don’t actually care to understand why younger generations are leaving.
I support this initiative but having decrepit lawmakers decide what to invest in for the future seems like a joke.
I feel like I forgot that was a thing but now I’m sad that I remember. The race is on!
Thanks !! I will have a watch this weekend :)
I hate that this take seems like the conspiracy take but also is totally plausible. Just look to the example of the Arab spring and how instrumental social media was for organizing. By fragmenting all social media it’s a lot less likely you see a massive resistance if shit goes sideways.
Seems like the interaction between land value and housing stock should make builds interesting.building won’t be all about max level everything because it will price people out just like real life.
Something that is enjoyable to watch I guess? Ideally with a theme/story to the build and the use of mods/modded assets. I want to see totally unique builds!
I love getting up on Saturday morning and watching the newly released episodes. So relaxing and it feels like Saturday morning cartoons as a kid.

Interactive History of Detroit's Woodbridge Neighborhood
Woodbridge is a historical neighborhood with a diverse population situated 2 miles from downtown Detroit. The original street-car suburb, Woodridge started out as a mix of upscale housing and working-class cottages. This mix has persisted as the residents went from farmers to industrialists and...
Very impressive historical timeline of the Woodbridge neighborhood near Midtown and Corktown. Interesting to see the stages of growth, decline, and urban renewal from the neighborhood inception to modern day.
It connects the city's west riverfront to Michigan Central Station, Corktown and Mexicantown.
