Do not get the strata clubs at that price, that's way too expensive. There are a few different classes of irons in general, and as a new player you should be looking at "game improvement", "cavity back", or any high forgiveness iron set. Check your marketplaces or 2nd swing for an iron set that's not too old and you shouldn't have to spend more than $250 for something from a top brand like Mizuno or Callaway or TM. Japanese brands tend to go for a little cheaper if you're buying used irons. Then grab a 5 or 6 year old driver for about $100-120, easily findable on eBay. Make sure your shafts are all "regular" flex or the appropriate flex for your build depending on who you are. For fairway woods, I personally would recommend starting with a 7 wood only and figure out what clubs you like as your ball striking improves. 3 and 5 wood are very difficult to hit off the fairway and have less practical use for newer players. And finally, get a 54° or 56° degree wedge to practice higher arc and bunker shots and a putter of your choice (would recommend going and trying a few at a golf store). Eventually you can deck out your bag with just a little more knowledge about your swing and decide whether you want more woods, hybrids, long irons or more wedges.
If you go this way you'll end up with quality equipment aimed at "high handicappers" rather than new players (marketing) and the resale value will stay decent if you resell within a year or so.
If you'd want specific recommendations or to point you in the right direction feel free to reach out, good luck!!
I imagine a lot of residents are leaving too. I figured it was mostly real estate inflation but knowing that about the PG kwh price.. that must also be a massive consideration
Holy crap buddy. Best wishes, that's brutal.
60c? You've gotta be talking about peak rates in like DTLA, surely?
You're telling me your base rate is 60c/kwh?
NV Energy charges me 10c/kwh
Where are you?? I live in an old crappy insulated 4bed house in VEGAS and in the summer I pay like 300-350 for AC that I set and forget at 72°
👍
Never. This country will become Idiocracy before people revolt
No, they just have way better milk than us
Too campy and I hate the Joss Whedon "wit"
¯(ツ)/¯ I gave it a shot, maybe I do
I tried watching this after the Reddit/Lemmy hype and I thought it was hot garbage. Not for everyone I guess.
They actually seem to be quite educated on the topic. Unlike yourself who seems to think that you'd have authority to speak on this issue because you have a certain passport? It's really not that wild. I moved here as a first generation immigrant about 10 years ago & I pretty much concur what they are saying. Irish and American Italians in Boston and NJ respectively feel that they have more in common with their 'home' countrymen than fellow Americans, just one example. Personally I think there's also an aspect of "oh I'm not just white, I'm actually 1/8 Irish". Mind you that's not what I think at all, why would I have a bias against you if you are white? But it's almost like I'm asked to view them as more than "white American" when people tell me that stuff after I tell them where I'm from. You can imagine what their answers typically were when I asked about whether they often go back to visit family/home or foods they cook. It's just ancestry, they have no actual ties to those lands.
One thing I will say though is that whenever I'd talk about this kind of thing is that people get weirdly defensive about it. Overall I learned just to let them say what they want to say, it's not worth my energy trying to understand their mental gymnastics as to why they're actually as Irish as I am Egyptian. They're not ready or willing to have that conversation.
Come on dude it's a white centric thing to make them feel more ethnic. No one else does this, even in the US. What you're describing is locality pride so someone should be proud to be from a certain state. Not claiming relation/influence from a European country. Immigrants in the US are the first to want to call themselves American while racists refuse to accept that while saying they're Irish or whatever the fuck.
Isn't this basically an egg cream
So I lived in Lebanon during their economic crisis a few years back, this is exactly what happened, certain stores with ties to powerful "political sects" were fully stocked selling all kinds of electronics duty and tariff free, basically the same price as what it was sold for before tax in the USA. Cash only, no warranties. Of course everything was 30-40% cheaper than their customers. Wonder how they got 'em.

Does anyone actually use a 60% or less for programming work?
I'm more interested if any of you actually do work on a 60% or below, I see a lot of 40s and a lot of lemmings are devs so do you guys use that for personal or work? No arrow keys? F keys? Home/end? Are you really holding shift+fn+d for end?

A song that seems to be getting a ton of hate on *eddit, Chaz experiments with 2000s pop-punk sounds. Personally, I love it.
