Dish born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands: the "Kapsalon"
That is because in countries like The Netherlands, 100 square meters will cost you about €500 000 at the moment. Warming my house on natural gas costs me €10 a day. In the grocery store, the avarage item price is now €3,-. We must have health insurance (good thing!) but if you can't afford it, you have the option to gamble on higher "own risk". That means paying more out of your own pocket. Gasoline is €2 a liter. We also have to reduce CO2 but don't have enough capacity on the grid to support all the green initiatives. Meaning electricity prices go up. Immigrants fleeing from terrible conditions are very welcome here (also, good thing!), but they need to be paid for somehow. Life is expensive and spending more on military means higher taxes or worse services.
Personally I don't have it bad at all and most people still don't, but I can understand why some people see this as a hard pill to swallow.
Only because I'm not aware of other decentralised Signal alternatives. That's on me.
Yes, I did! I mentioned it when they asked about my downsides. Gave them all the downsides + the upsides of it. Like, I lose focus more than other people, but I am extremely calm in an emergency. I might have trouble planning but I think "outside the box". In my field of interest, what happens to be my work, I learn quicker than most. I might oversleep, but when something needs fixing, consider it fixed. Even if I have to work all night. Also explained how I try to manage the symptoms.
ADHD is often seen as only negative but if you also take the positives, you become more valuable to outside perspective. Just stick to the real positives though, don't try to make any up that aren't there. They will notice.
I was the least experienced candidate from what I heard, but I was hired and looking at fixed employment in a few months!
I won't hide it. If they feel I'm not right for an employer the way I am, they are not the right employer for me.
One giant lan party I suppose.
And there goes another good company...
Nice! Never heard of that one, I'll look that up!
I would have rather seen Element but hey, it's a step in the right direction.
US apparently also quit providing intel to Ukraine. Sorry for the Dutch link as source, best to use a browser translator on it.
Google apple and reddit must have really pissed them off to include this in their terms.
Skikk is a clevo reseller too. Those laptops are very nice. They do however sound like a jet engine when the game starts. But I just turn the volume up higher and then I don't hear it anymore.
I won't go as far as to nuke all my accounts just yet but last year I made a big effort to use less of big tech companies. This is my drive to slowly continue doing that this year. I will finish my games that will not run on Linux without tinkering and then I'm quitting the hell that is Windows for good.
There is a feature called single hand mode on most keyboards. Makes it something like this. I do however agree that small phones are nice.

Remember there are lots of Ford Chevrolet Dodge and Tesla cars driving around here. Maybe in 10 years not so many anymore. Result: more profit to EU car brands and less profit to USA car brands. Eventually the EU gets out of this stronger.
So far no dark mode yet
We are no longer people just cash cows now.
No surprise. We shifted from plastic stuff to paper stuff. So now the fish are (luckily!) having a better living space. But where do we get all the extra paper from? Yes, trees.
Kind of like the red room they tell you about on Youtube
Yes it does
