  • I was just going to say pure strength builds in souls games but you're right. poise zweihander bs really only works in DS1, the change to the poise system for DS3 and Elden Ring prevent it from being the silly unstoppable powerhouse it was. like it's so bad in DS1 that the first thing I grab on a dex build after getting to andre is the wolf ring and then the grass shield.

  • yes. that also usually implies that said person is transitioning socially (name/pronouns/gender marker/presentation) and or medically (hormones).

one can certainly be a nonbinary amab and not do those things, but I wouldn't consider them transfem, personally.

  • direction of transition is the easiest way to think about it imo. hrt femboys, binary trans women, nonbinary/GNC trans women would then all fall under the umbrella of "transfem"

  • I relate to this so much. not being able to operate in this bullshit system despite your best efforts. I'm still struggling just to complete the paperwork. it really seems like if you have an invisible disability it's impossible to get help sometimes.

the worst part for me was finding a job I actually really enjoyed and was good at only to watch it slowly slip away under the crushing pressure of constantly having to perform and appear normal.

second to last paragraph sound exactly like my experience. I'm so done with it all. thank you for taking the time to write all this, it's really validating to see someone else struggling with the same things.

  • from my experience with some libertarian 2a people I'd agree with this. I was surprised how indifferent (good) they were about minorities and trans people considering how they vote. honestly having a pro-drug, pro-gun* platform would win a huge chunk of them. and both of those would also be good for oppressed minorities (imo).

actually sitting here thinking about it do we have any figures on how much tax money gets pumped into prison systems that rely on drug enforcement to fill? not to mention the military industrial complex. cuz I know leftists like to riff on libertarians about "I don't understand how taxes work" but there's a lot of tax money going to things I don't agree with either.

*more like "sex positive" in the sense of education and safety and not shaming people who partake. not whatever the NRA is doing.

  • fun fact, the "eye of the needle" isn't referring to a needle. they're small gaps in the big stone walls just big enough for a person to squeeze through but intentionally designed so that a camel cannot get in. he's not even saying it's metaphorically impossible he's saying it's literally impossible, and by design.
