  • Clockwise, to me, goes forward. The file explorer sorts from top to bottom by default. It makes perfect intuitive sense to me. You may say that volume and time go "up", but it's not like they're literally moving in space in an upwards direction, are they? They increase.

  • Interessant, hatte keine Ahnung dass es sowas hier mal gab. Da war ich in den 90ern wohl noch zu jung um mich daran zu erinnern. Solche Wägen kenne ich nur aus Japan, wo die auch heutzutage durch die Straßen fahren um entweder irgendwelche Produkte zu bewerben oder wenn gerade Wahlkampf ist Politiker.

  • And it looks a little bit more graphically impressive than previous instalments?

    Definitely, but anything else would have been very disappointing. They have much more hardware power at their disposal compared to Switch 1 after all. I don't know if I'd say that these are impressive graphics by Switch 2 standards, but they're finally at a point where they look nice, which is ultimatey all that matters.

  • Finally, hardware is powerful enough that even Gamefreak can make a decent looking 3d game!

    In all seriousness though, it looks pretty nice. Looking forward to the return of diving. South-east Asia is an interesting setting for a new region. I have a feeling IGN isn't going to like it though...

  • The most trustworthy reviews are always those where the reviewers just bought the products. Even when it's not as blatant as it is here, there's always a motivation to not anger the company too much when you get their products early and for free.

  • I honestly don't remember the exact car model or even the manufacturer but it was nothing fancy. Some smallish car with manual transmission and no parking sensors or cameras. There weren't any others to choose from. This was in 2012.

  • In Germany, people can get a "Pflegegrad", which basically defines how much assistance someone needs. Depending on that, they may be assigned a caregiver, paid for by the state. If other relatives decide to take them in, they'll also get some money and assistance for that.

  • It's not that I've never tried it, I've dabbled in it consistently over the last few years. If you had said there was a major difference compared to 2 years or maybe even a year ago, sure. In the last 4 months, I guess we've gotten stuff like Claude 4.6, which saw an increase in coding performance by 2.5% according to SWE benchmarks. An improvement, sure, but certainly not an exponential one and not one which will fix the fundamental weaknesses of AI coding. Maybe I'm out of the loop though, so I'm curious, what are those exponential improvements you've seen over the last 4 months? Any concrete models or tools?

  • Who would create a bot for this purpose and then also give personal details in the instructions / memory or access to photos?

    It would be 2 different people: One person instructing their bot to ask other bots for private data and another person using their bot for whatever purpose who was stupid enough to give it full access to their data. AI bros are often pretty incompetent when it comes to IT security especially, so I think it isn't such an unlikely scenario.

  • This is the most recent PC release, which also released on Steam today. Adds a couple features, but also seems to have some technical issues. It's free for owners of the previous release from 2013 though, so that's something.
