  • Namecheep with free-tier DNS, and Zoho for email/office that respects privacy.

$46 Australian per year for a single person for Domain DNS Email Cloud storage Lots of sub+products for business use.

Not self-hosted servers ... But better than MS/Google mail hosting while still secure.

  • People with APD now have access to ANC headphones and are thus using them.

I had APD in the 70s and I have it now. Difference is that i have ANC headphones now and can get them to block out what my brain won't.

Like the rise in ADHD and Autism diagnosis... There isn't more cases, just diagnosis got better or more available.

    Correlation not causation.

    Idiots.

  • Thing is, without art to train on Gen AI is useless. So it steals training data, from artists. Then it steals work from the same artists by using the stolen data.

Tell me, where will the new training data come from when artists are not publishing because they aren't getting work?

If you use Gen AI, it is obvious and makes you look like a no-tallent hack, and a grifter.

  • What ever happened to detentions, suspensions and expulsion?

    Soft.

Schools need to start issuing "Your kid is a cunt" warnings to parents, with threats of abuse and harassment criminal charges. If public health staff won't put up with it, why should teachers?

Parents and school won't do shit. Call the cops. Except in America, because that will get someone shot.

  • No internet means the gullible masses will remain uninformed and vulnerable to manipulation.

The GOP wants a solid foundation of uneducated poor to exploit as the base workforce and voter base.

Cheap idiots to fuel their companies.

  • I need a documenter!

I have a head full of stuff that hasn't had time to be documented, and being a single point of knowledge isn't job security, it's a major risk.

My code gets documented. But so much infrastructure is just held in my head as senior SysAdmin. Wherever possible I just have a ride-along "up-skilling" (works like a RAID mirror for my brain).
