a little piece of Tim Merlier's skin to put in a frame
Hometown start with Brugge - De Panne today
And damn those Cannondales from Tietema Rockets are gorgeous
MSR was an epic race to watch tho (and he didn't win, maybe that's why hahaha)
- Juan Molano
- Jonathan Milan
- Madis Mihkels
Merlier and Kooij down as well
everybody falling now, hurts to see
Ronde Van Vlaanderen is always around Easter, if you have to plan another holiday soon ;)
GO HARTTHIJS GO
Got to see the start today! Perks of a hometown start with local laps
does that make you the assistant to the regional manager?
So, everyone who said "no" never learned how to type or what?
Good thing I have two chickens
Would be foolish not to say Ayuso is the top favourite. Looking forward to Landa and O'Connor. Also expecting much from De Plus and Van Eetvelt!
ask him about his "war on drugs" in Antwerp...
Seizing frozen Russian assets is ‘an act of war,’ says Belgian PM

Ganna gonna do more great things this season. Tirreno was strong already, but now at MSR... damn! Kinda hoping Pogacar will do Roubaix, because I think it'll be more his kind of thing. Can be a very hard if they play it well with the team. I think they shouldn't've burned all their matches on the Cipressa. Especially when you saw how easy it looked for MVDP
I'm a fortune teller!
What a beautiful edition
- Mathieu Van Der Poel
- Filippo Ganna
- Tadej Pogacar
POGGIO! VDP and Pogi are gone
Pogi, Ganna and VDP are gone! away they go!
Live discussions about cycling races
I was looking around Lemmy to see if there were any live threads/discussions about the cycling races, like there is on Reddit, and I kinda miss it here. It's nice to follow the race like this and catch up while at work. Never hosted anything like this so I wouldn't know where or how to start, but would be nice if someone with some experience could (co-)host something like this! Cheers from Belgium!
edit: added "cycling" to the title to avoid confusion
We should shame people that promote BlueSky more
Especially when they promote and use it out of "moral motivation" to "fight against twitter/big tech". You're still using a platform owned by one company. They're not really decentralized. There's nothing stopping them to go down the same path twitter did. They're funded by some questionable investors... Or, to quote something I recently read: "BlueSky is decentralized in the same way Total Energies is a green company."
Fight big tech, yes, but know which platforms to use. And to counter all "but Mastodon etc. are boring": the more people making the shift to the fediverse, the less boring it gets.
Edit to add: "shame" might be a heavy choice of words, but I don't know another term haha (English not a first language and all that)
Observing American politics feels really strange at the moment
As an outsider (I live in Belgium) it feels very weird and dystopian to see everything happening in American politics with Trump and Musk.
On one side, it's very interesting and almost entertaining; on the other side, it's scary. I can't imagine what it must be like to live in the USA.
Americans, how do you cope? What's your take on the situation?
