  • You forgot

Congratulations, you won the first place prize in the worst president in US history, by causing an actual recession and leading up to a great depression using tariffs. Bewary though, William Mckinely coffin is empty, and been rumored to be walking to the white house with Abraham Lincoln, and some of the founding fathers, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adam are so mad that someone is ignoring our courts and likely to drag trump out for his ideals.

Congratulations on winning a secondary award for beating hoover, as while he did not cause the market to crash, he was still blamed as he never changed any policy and believed in the roaring 20s. Hoover is now crying from excitement as someone is finally worse then him by literally fucking up the market.

  • Wasn't the late 1980s reagan era, when he decided to promote the trickle down effect, went really really well, Oh you know if the rich gets the taxed reduce, the money they paid for tax might go trickle down the company towards you. Went really well, the rich just hoarded it.

This was also a time when the october surprise may have occurred as well, when republicans may have caused iran to delay releasing the hostages just so, the winner of inauguration could be the person could be held as the person who released them.

You also had reagan with his impeachable iran-contra affair, american dad ollie north song gives a brief summary of what he did and why it was quite bad. You also had America coming off an era when the CIA experimented on people for mind control by giving them LSD, and then moved on to other drugs.

  • Itching, he wants to invoke it, using specifically the insurrection act of 1807, tomorrow they may push it earlier then 90 days since it was always part of project 2025 and also due the senate most likely passing a bill to limit his power for tariff by needing approval from them to be used, so they enact it just a bit earlier to make sure national emergency still exist. Don't be surprised if it is invoked as this was always planned as part of project 2025.

  • also call it Johnson Shutdown, that is what he clearly is doing when he stopped all procedures for a week in the house. Which I must say is a crucial part of the legislative branch and he efficiently shutdown the government for a week. Anytime this happens again which it will, due to the senate tariff bill heading to the house and if it is brought to the floor by a measure to discharge from committee and passes, he'll clearly do it again. So let give it a name to blame Mike Johnson for shutting down the government and call it Johnson Shutdown.

Senator Cory Booker filibuster against the trump administration Megapost

Cory Booker at the moment filibustering at the senate as a protest against the whole trump administration . He is speaking for as long as he is physically able too, as stated by him in the CSPAN clip, https://www.c-span.org/clip/us-senate/sen-cory-booker-d-nj-starts-speaking-in-senate-for-as-long-as-i-am-physically-able/5158775

Here is an article that states why he is on the senate floor if you need clarification https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/31/politics/booker-senate-floor-speech-trump-protest/index.html

  • No distractions, the second answer is not correct, he wants another glided age. The glided age is another term for the second industrial revolution that turned america into the superpower we know today, but It also was an awful era for your average american. They would work 12 hours or more for a whole week, some may have sunday off due to church but a lot did work that day with all your family working. The standard of living was so crap, many would become alcoholics due to the awful conditions, which would lead to prohibition movement. Your average american did not live long, many people would die due to work place accidents but due to no worker protection, nothing would change.

The era was also known for the monopolies, starting with rockfeller standard oil, carnegie steel company and morgans banking with many others. All the major monopolies worked together to prevent competition by buying out, they would ask nicely to sell your company to them, if not they would play the waiting game by lowering the product your selling to be unprofitable and then buy you out. Regulations did not exist yet so, this was all legal and if it wasn't, no one gave a shit as they were that powerful. The government was no help to them either, as most of them were bathing in the money of the 1%. The 1% lived in amazing conditions, and hoarded a ton of money, with some becoming important philanthropist.

Here is an article of proof of what trump wants, https://apnews.com/article/trump-tariffs-gilded-age-mckinley-grover-cleveland-1592dab80ad7159266db51b5baa774b6.

Removal of HLMenckenFan from Moderator Position.

The moderator was removed due to becoming a ghost account as the owner deleted the account causing it to be hard to remove his moderator position. The account was inactive before but had sparks of activity before ending up becoming a ghost and the account ended up being deleted.

  • No, your violating the advocating violence rule. We do not want anyone to advocate violence, and that line is always linked to terrorists.

  • I don't know yet because I'm still waiting for a response from him about the context for behind why he sent that video to him it But I really do need more moderators for the team so we can have better community input

Post was meant for recruiting new moderators for c/politics, logging purposes for renaming.

  • I hope the state supreme court allows them to keep their right to a jury trial. It clearly states in our 7th amendment it is preserved for any case above $20 and that it will always be upheld. There is no alternative in the wording, it is so clearly written and if it is ignored I want to see all the judges bank account and donations because the constitution for jury trials are clearly written and cannot be told in any other way.

  • Great roommates, also make sure you get an ouija board and remind them to pay rent every month.

  • The capacitor plague era, ever wonder why we don't see a lot of PC's in the early 2000s, this is why as everything with a cap would fail and kill the boards, essentially having to call on the oem to fix it.

  • Julius Caesar declaring himself an emperor, the celebration and seeing the man that essentially turned rome from a powerful republic to the most powerful empire with a military that dominated majority of europe.

  • UN general assembly majority vote, but security council, the permanent members all need to agree as even one nay is a veto.

  • Why is no one mentioning, that under the 14th amendment, there is literally no statement on whether or not its state or congress power. All it says is they just become ineligible when they committed the insurrection. The only power given to congress is, you can override it and allow them to run again. Supreme Court seems to ignore the entire wording, if they agree that trump committed the insurrection is factual, than he should be ineligible per the wording.

The wording is similar to criminal law rather than amendment, be a politician who decides to rebel or commit an insurrection than no more politics for you. This was also written to make sure no one in the confederacy to run in politics, and if that's the case than its also the case that trump cannot run, as its automatically applied.

  • Yep, its accurate and also trump is gonna provide Clarence a gift, of a trip to on his yacht or a bunch of money. Clarence Thomas loves to get gifts that will not at all influence his decision, as if he is very much not at all corrupt.

  • True, there was many but commodus I think was the stepping stone to the fall as the shithead essentially almost bankrupted rome and caused civil wars since he was so shitty he did not have a kid.

  • Also, the big issue is people assume migrants take jobs, they usually take the jobs americans do not want to work as and shows it with the labor force in florida with agriculture, majority I believe work in agriculture.

  • Gladiator, it seemed like in the ending rome may have had hope in survival but Commodus damage became the first stepping stone that led to the fall of the roman empire.

  • You can request your trial to be done by mail, yes this is legal and if you truly want to get out of a speeding ticket or any other tickets or fine. Just do it the trial by mail and always postpone it for a greater chance of the officer just letting you win it. The source for all my information is from a lawyer, also check your local laws or state laws about this, thank you maggoty as it depends.

  • The reason for that was because he could not have a pc or access to the internet but an amazon fire stick, is allowed since they do not expect him to use it for other purposes with the browser. Must have found a site that gave him access to a virtual machine or a VPS virtual private server to phish a rockstar games employee and from there access slack and then release footage of it on gtaforums.

Is /u/Geert an admin or should I not worry about him.

So moderators/admins, I am the founder and moderator of c/politics. For context, I hired a moderator who I will not name, but he is controversial with users for his views and demand he be remove. I ignored them and continued with my day, then later I received this message from him.

Is he impersonating an admin to try to get us to remove the user as I don't see an admin on his name and his account was created 7 days ago. Just asking if you guys heard of him.

Thanks, yeah just an impersonator trying to get me to remove an important mod.

Megathread: Supreme Court overturning affirmative action, rejected biden original student loan forgiveness plan and lastly, deals blow to LGBT rights in web designer case.

This was long overdue, and I should have made it per day when the supreme court did these cases. But oh well, it's all under one megathread. This will be active for a couple of days.
