  • I am running manjaro with a AMD 7900XT GPU, i needed to do a lot of work to get my windows vm to display correctly and it does not perform well in terms of graphics inside the VM. Personally I keep a dual boot with Win11 debloated to run games that require kernel level anticheat. With that said, if you wanna know if it's a good idea to switch, protondb.com gives you what to expect from your games on Linux!

  • Although it is true that this happens a lot with vr and non vr games, you always have the option to put yourself out of the situation. If you feel unconformable, leave the game. Of course, this advice doesn't fit every case, when online it always seems like you can't leave that call or that game cuz people will judge you but that should be less of a priority than your mental health ~

  • Kdenlive is great, I've been editing a lot of my videos on there and some shorts on YouTube. It's got a pretty unappealing UI but one you get to know and figure out where everything is you can get some content out :)

  • I can actually confirm this a little, when Elden Ring came out, it ran really poorly on Windows so rebooted to my Linux os and was getting a solid 15-25 more fps. It even made one of my friends install Linux just to get the performance boost.

I have no unread notifications on Slack but still shows

I used the clear all unreads shortcut (shift + esc) and it doesn't go away...

Edit: For anyone having this problem, I'm using GNOME desktop environment and clearing the notifications on the shell removes the bubble on the app icon. Thanks to @EmasXP for the hint.
