  • Haluta may not have been the best verb for the example, but it was a verb with which I am familiar.

    I came up with a couple example while riding my scooter and could not type and they escape me now.

    I guess my confusion comes in that so far in all my lessons making something plural before the verb is done by -t and after the verb -a/-ä.

    Everytime I start to think I have a grasp on Finnish a wrench flies out of no where and changes things. Not that English is any different.

    We are nearing the end of Voyager Series 6, we watched e23 Fury, and e24 life line.

  • It was a space heater, I had it on a timer (we had no heating in that part of the house) and I thought I had turned it off. My laundry pile was too close to the heater, it ignited the laundry which caused the can to rupture.

    The fire was isolated to my room, and my dad and I got it extinguished before the fire department arrived. We lived 20 miles outside town.

    I forget what the exact cause was listed as in the report, but it was not the same as the actual cause.

  • I had to go into the office and check in each time. They have it on file who my kids are. Only parents were allowed. So, you could not walk in off the street, having no kids at the school, and eat lunch.

    I did this at 3 different schools in 2 different states.

  • As I mentioned in another comment, I almost died in a house fire. I had an aerosol can in a pile of clothes that caught fire from a heater, that can exploded and woke me. Otherwise I would have slept through the fire.

    Your comment hits me really hard (I am sure not as hard as being on scene where they did not have detectors). But reading some of the dismissive comments I was starting to think I was over reacting, you assured me I was not.

  • When I worked in movies, and later in theatre, I napped every chance I got. I eventually started to carry a hammock in my kit for the movies. When I stayed at the theatre I set up my hammock on the catwalks.

  • My kids were in a movie with him. He was such a nice guy. They met him at the hotel having no idea he was an actor (when I first saw him, I thought he was either homeless or a grip... until he laughed). When my kids were on set he ate in the cafeteria (a repurposed barn) with them. He even showed up to set on a day he was not scheduled to wish my son a happy birthday.

    Edit: it was suicide, my kids lost their oldest sibling to suicide.

  • Short of paying for the entire meal program, it may not be possible. Some districts do not allow people to pay for meals/debt that is not their own.

    When my youngest two kids were in elementary school I used to go eat lunch with them. One of the boys in my son's class had too much debt and they would not give him food. I tried to pay his debt ($20ish) and they would not let me, so I tried to pay for his meal, not allowed. So we went and sat down at the table and I gave him a twenty. The lunch lady accepted it, but gave me a hassle about it. I told her he found it in his pocket while we were eating.
