  • If the music is your only problem, you are on linux, and you are not afraid of the commandline, you could try mixing the music into your mic audio. But idk how good that works for voice activation. Anyway, here is a related link to the arch wiki (also works on other distros): https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PulseAudio/Examples#Mixing_additional_audio_into_the_microphone's_audio

Also on sundays nearly every normal store is closed, only restaurants and some other stores like gas stations are open.

  • It will be used just for file storage. But what exactly do you mean by "lighter hardware"? april said anything more than a raspi, so better than the quad-core Arm Cortex A76 processor @ 2.4GHz from the raspi 5? (ik that truenas is for x86 and not arm)

    NAS Hardware selection

I want to create a NAS for my family at home. I am already pretty sure about using TrueNAS as software, but the hardware is still open.

What hardware do you recommend for 2TB of usable Storage (+a second drive for mirroring the first one) that is used by 3 people for pictures, videos, and documents?

  • I open links from different categories of websites in different firefox profiles via a bash script. For example the current one is named "memes".

Also i have a second panel at the top of my second monitor so i can always see the current date and time.

Suggest me a secure chat platform for my family

I am searching for a selfhosted and secure (end to end encryption) chat platform for my family (5-20 users), possibly one i can host on a raspi.

Is matrix a good choice, or should i try something else?
