    It wasn't their first album by any means, but I think it was the most influential on metal music, it kind of spawned its own sub-genre (djent-core?). On this album they really honed in on the sound they made steps toward with Chaosphere, and it influenced the sound of metal moving forward into the late 00s and 2010s.

    I haven't really been into metal as much as I was back when this came out, but it was really interesting to see this swedish metal band I randomly heard about in an AOL chatroom take off and become hugely popular and influential.

  • Youtube music got weird for me, about a week or two ago. I have it as part of my YT subscription, I barely use it. I opened it the other day and they recently started pushing this obviously AI generated like... porn music. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

    Yes, I did listen to one of them out of curiosity, and now it won't stop recommending the filth even though I've blocked 20 of the songs and said don't show me stuff like this.

  • Funny story, the first time I was going to smoke weed I was staying the night at a friend's house, and he knew some dudes down the street that were gonna hook us up, all we had to do was sneak out of his house, nbd.

    So we go out his window where the roof is right there, it's just a short drop to the ground and we're good to go. So I'm hanging off and then drop and land funny on my foot as a couple of my bones fractured in my foot. I wasn't gonna be able to make it down the street anymore, so we had to sneak back into his house and come up with a story for why my foot was broken.
