  • He said he was there for security reasons...so now, he's drinking on the job...

  • I don’t know how this helps the ultra rich when they destroy a country, but there must be sth. they gain from that.

They're looting it as it goes down. For example, Trump sued the federal government for the time his tax records were leaked; federal government - which he controls - settles with him for $$$$$.

Meanwhile, the ultra-rich are getting more tax breaks so they can get a bit richer. What do they care if the US fails? They probably have money stashed all over the world.

  • Well, that, and to enrich himself and his regime.

  • Not sure why you were downvoted, but you're correct - I'm a late Gen Xer, and Facebook launched several years after I finished grad school - and didn't become mainstream for another few years.

MySpace was started only one year earlier than Facebook. So, basically, the social media online that I knew before then were forums (like car forums that still exist).

  • Yeah, but I think you see why many people avoid them.

I have two Sengled zigbee bulbs (note they also make wifi bulbs, so be careful) that have been outside in fixtures on the porch for a few years now, and I've never had a hiccup. And we get pretty extreme ranges of temperatures here - single digits to nearly 100 F.

These are what I have, but there are other brands too.

  • We don’t have any words and we know you don’t want to hear them. We understand your anger, your frustration, your sadness. Everything you’re feeling – we get it. This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted. Thank you for being there the entire way.

  • I highly recommend setting up a zigbee network. Avoids these headaches, saves wifi bandwidth, etc. Just be careful about what channel you use for zigbee and wifi to avoid interference.

  • Yeah I've had some I had to redo when they were offline for a while (weeks, not hours or days - but I don't know how long).

  • For the game-tying goal, they had at least 6 players on the ice. Canada still won, but it's true.

Of course the refs missed a too many men on the US today. I'm not complaining, it's more amusing than anything else.

  • Same here. There was a beat before I realized it was in.

  • Lol amazing. Thanks for the laugh.

Edit, as I recall, that guy made that one post, then disappeared into the ether. Legend.

  • My cat stole a burger off a plate in my kitchen. I'd made a bunch for a group of friends, and I warned them to watch the cat, he was quick. No one really believed me, until we found a hamburger on my pillow. (I think I noticed he was absent, which was unlike him, so I went to check on him.)

My friends were stunned at how he did that with none of them noticing. Yep.

  • USA wins, but damn that game could have gone the other way very easily. Called it!

I told my wife at the beginning of ot, "This will either be over quickly, or it'll take forever."

What a pass to get the puck to Jack Hughes.

  • One thing is very clear, Hallebuyck is not the problem in Winnipeg.

What a game, win or lose.

(Edit to correct the spelling of Hallebuyck.)

  • In fairness, everyone else thinks it's a terrible idea and hates it.

  • Two stacked teams. It'll be close. Again.

  • I'm hoping there's a "piss on his grave" event wherein we can donate to causes he hates for the opportunity.

  • Agreed. AOC said this really well a few years back. I don't remember her exact phrasing, but she said something like, "He can stay, or he can go. But either way, the conditions that led to this situation remain."

That's one time I wish she was wrong, but she's not. Once they find another figurehead...

And let's face it, there's about a 75% chance that the next Democrat, assuming there is one, pardons everyone in the name of harmony or something.
