  • When I was staying in Toronto last year, I would bike everywhere (EVERYWHERE). Despite what many Torontonians say about biking in the city, it is actually quite good (certainly much better than London). The bike sharing service is decent.

When I had just arrived there, I was deciding whether I should get an annual pass ($120) or just pay-per-use. I decided to go with pay-per-use since I was only going to stay there for a month. I biked so much that I ended up spending $200 on the pay-per-use bike rents lol. I should have just gotten the annual pass since I will be visiting again soon.

Anyway, it is so so sad that they are trying to get rid of the biking infrastructure. It is one of the few good things in the city :(

(just copied my comment from the cycling community)

  • The last stretch of Sarnia road between Sleightholme and Western doesn't have a bike path. As a biker who bikes to Western very often, this is so frustrating (and scary) since I have to merge with the main traffic or if the traffic is too busy, I just ride on the sidewalk. I hope they make a bike path on that part of Sarnia road. But the article says the construction will start next year and will take at least 3 years... So I am not very optimistic.
