How reliable is it to self host SimpleLogin, AnonAddy (addy), etc?

  • I don't have long term experience with either, but I started to selfhost both of them (anonaddy and simplelogin) about a month ago

    I enjoy both, and both are running well at the moment - but there is no long term experience

    I think , I would normally like Addy more (interface, capabilities, etc), however honestly it was the one, which caused me a lot more problems (mails getting lost unnoticed, without any notification, even multiple times - of course, in each case it was some config setting which I wasn't fully aware of, so kind of "user error). Simplelogin is running with less issues (as far as I can tell), and it's also a great piece of software: I can't even clearly explain why I use it less

    Anyways, I'm very much interested in inputs on this topic, definitely look forward to discussion in this thread

  • Could you please link to those reviews? So far I've only seen positive things about them.

    I use the mail offer (free), and so far no complaints from me

  • What he obviously meant, but phrased incorrectly: you can't create new posts from Sync. You should be able to comment on existing posts, though (doing it right now)

    Most találtam csak rátok

    Csak örömködni akarok, hogy rátok találtam Lemmy-n is (mellesleg mindezt a most kijött Sync for Lemmy-nek köszönhetően)

    Bár látom, nem lesz egyszerű a Lemmy jövője, de örülnék, ha fejlődne. Én jelenleg kevesebbet használom redditet mint Lemmy-t (bár mindig és mindenhol szinte csak readonly user vagyok)

  • I have the same problem: not possible to create new post, only post replies to existing threads (and I was about to create a new post in a small community, which Sync has helped me find now (and I didn't realizer existed in the Lemmiverse)

    I realise this is beta, and otherwise everything works great

  • Régebben minden reggel hallgattam (weben) a Millásreggelit, a Jazzy-n illetve azelőtt a Rádió Café-n, utóbbi időben kevesebbet (valószínű azért, mert átálltam korábbi munkába járásra), illetve csak podkasztként hallgatok meg egyes adásokat mostanában Szerintem ezek amúgy is viszonylag jó rádiók (voltak). Tudom, hogy újra dúlt a Rádió Cafe, jobban bele kellene hallgatnom ujra

  • Yes, I had to do it, however only in high school, not elementary school, age ca 16. It was in the late 80ies, in Central (Eastern) Europe

  • Non-tech, office worker (sourcing / procurement).
