Just a note from a consultant that we are not paid the same or only slightly more than an equivalent government worker.
If you compare direct salaries, its not that bad and that holds up. But you need to compare the salary of a government employer with what the consulting firm charges the government.
That value results in consultants costing taxpayers roughly 5-10x as much per employee.
The shutdown, and resulting price increase is twofold.
- It gives them an excuse to set prices where they want, despite a global collapse in prices, allowing them to pad their profit margins.
- It puts pressure on governments to remove regulations and taxes, allowing the companies to increase their profit margin.
Its a long running song and dance, it is complete garbage and they need to be prosecuted.
Yes, that was the "he deserves a trial"
Dude was in law school and took the risk of being an illegal immigrant. He knew the risk and took it. He deserves a trial.
Except that the cyberfucked has proven itself to be an abysmal offroad vehicle.
And you dont get smooth roads in a lawless hellscape. Just go drive in Alberta or Saskatchewan. Or any red state outside of the main interstate freeways.
You missed the last part of that exchange.
Carney says "Never".
Dont need their cars
• Ontario makes the high precision parts of Ford and GM vehicles that literally can't be made in the US or Mexico because workers there dont have the skill.
Dont need their lumber
• The US lumber lobby has spent 20 years trying to break the lumber industry here, for the express purpose pf getting unfettered access to Canadian logs.
Don't need their water
• Little Bitch is more than old enough to remember that access to Canadian water was one of the sticking points that very nearly derailed the original NAFTA, to the point that several of the provisions are designed such that if they could get any access to our water, they would immediately get access to all of our water
Doug, just go full dystopian and build a new ground level to hide the poors and roads.
Just like modern Chinese cities do
A low enough amount that Warframe has a mario Kart esque minigame available in game
As a millienial software dev:
Imo: What happened is twofold:
- The business grads also played games, and saw the money to be made.
- The best devs are smart enough to *not work in AAA Gamedev.
No. There is a difference between former colonial farms and outright "this-is-land-his-direct-family-stole".
And ah the standard personal attacks of the average redditor. How I have not missed you.
There is responsible O&G development, then there is US/Albertan approach. I oppose the latter.
The riding PP is moving to voted 83.4% facist. Liberal was next with 11.4%.
The guy he is replacing is from a colonial farm and worked in the oil and gas industry.
From his parliamentary record: No work of note. Sponsored an anti-native troll bill that never got anywhere. Likes to pretend that he speaks for other ridings, provided they aren't CPC.
Since 1968, it has been held by the PCs for 25 Years, Liberals for 2 years and Reform/CPC since 1993.
Yeah, I'd say the bigger issue is low income people not having time to cook, and/or not having the ability to get to a decent grocery store.
Eh, can you get a bag of equivalent volume of apples for the same as a bottle of coca cola?
Same amount of sugar, one is considerably healthier.
Thing is the article says the actual domestic investment growth was 9.8%, not 22%.
No, not pantsed. Just embarrassed.
They still massively increased their vote share, and the Liberals are still at the mercy of either the Bloc or the NDP for anything constructive.
What we might see, hopefully, is an east-west splitting of the conservatives back into sane-east coast cons, who were largely shut out again this election, and leave the west to its Alberta based Reform party insanity.
They put the profit of US oil companies over the entire ecosystem of the Northern Pacific Ocean. The actions of Alberta, Harper and Trudeau put literally all life on earth at risk.
If the pacific ocean life dies, we all die.
Being nice got us to this point, and it clearly isn't working. Time to change tack.
Not as bitumen being shipped offshore it doesn't.
