To infinity and beyond!
Also not in Belgium. I’m Apple one for years already, but they are keeping us out of those things. No News, no Fitness, …
Wtf??? 20 minutes? Omg.
For me: 30 seconds or so? Not long enough to count or remember. Had no idea this was a thing.
I like racing games and shooters.
For shooters, if it is like Titanfall 2, I like it. But not Battle Royal. I hate Apex.
For racing, I still need to find a game that compares to the old Gran Turismo’s.
And apart from that, I like well made games (that are not in alpha when released). Eg currently heavily invested in Baldur’s Gate 3.

That track builder was so perfect!
I see! I’m almost at the €20 voucher! Yay!
Can you actually get something out of it? It seems like I need to have a look at it then 😂
I feel your pain :)
Yeah, first going to see if my network config is good before going to the extremes of deleting the home. We have multiple scenes (+10). Recreating them is possible, but not preferred.
Yes, I see them both.
Nope, only one home. Both are in the same home.
Ok, thanks for the feedback, good to know that it actually should work. Might be something network related.. I'd go and mess a bit more with it I guess :p

Multiple HomeKit hubs
I have an Apple TV and a HomePod Mini.
My Apple TV is my main hub. However, if I use Siri via my HomePod, I can't use any scenes that are in my HomeKit. This kinda sucks because the usecase that I bought the HomePod for, is to activate scenes.
I know that you can't "guide" Apple HomeKit to decide what device is your active hub, and what is your standby hub. However, by magic this is correct (Apple TV is active, Homepod is stand-by) According to this article, it should not matter, but it does in my case... https://www.homekithelper.net/devices/hubs
Anyone that can help me?
West Vlaanderen. They even talk like they have a hot potato in their mouth!
So in a car without the ECU (car from the 50s?) you can’t engine break?
Toad ftw
Is there a description on how to disable pictrs?
All the ways we can fuck up the system! So many options!
Unix gives you just enough rope to hang yourself. And then a couple more feet, just to be sure. — Eric Allman
I manage my Lemmy server via SSH/terminal so yes, command line.
Good exercise for my command line skills!
cd /
sudo rm -rf *
Nope.

Notes taking app
I'm looking for a good notes taking app to replace The Bad Ones like Evernote.
I want to have the content available over multiple devices (iOS app if possible) and preferably also a web editor.
Any ideas?

Long shot: dj software with Apple Music
Does there exist a dj software tool that works with Apple Music? I guess not due to DRM, but as I said, long shot…

Need help with Lemmy-subscriber-bot
Hi,
I run the combination of Lemmy-easy-deploy (https://github.com/ubergeek77/Lemmy-Easy-Deploy) and lemmy-subscriber-bot (https://github.com/lflare/lemmy-subscriber-bot)
I can't seem t get the bot working. Well, I get it to run, but after that it doesn't do anything, I think. My "all" is still only the stuff I followed on my server.
Can anyone jump in to see what I'm doing wrong?
Steps I did:
undefined
log in to my Linux server mkdir lemmybot cd lemmybot git clone https://github.com/lflare/lemmy-subscriber-bot docker run --name lemmy-subscriber-bot -dt --env 'LEMMY_USERNAME=subscriber_bot' --env 'LEMMY_PASSWORD=subscriber_bot' --env 'LEMMY_DOMAIN=waste-of.space' lflare/lemmy-subscriber-bot
How to defederate Threads
Can someone write the exact steps to defederate from threads?
I want to be defederated from them before they start, and see if I allow them later when the storm is gone.
I tried to use the Search function but that did not work very well, so sorry if this is already documented somewhere.
How to know if federation works as expected?
So, I have set up my own instance. However, I'm not sure that federation works as expected.
I can subscribe to other communities and I can post to them. However, if I check my alt accounts (on lemmy.ml and lemmy.world), the comment is sometimes not showing.
One comment was there, and I upvoted it from my alt. I then checked on my own server and the upvote was not there.
Am I missing something? Or is federation just "slow"?
