  • Pretty chart, ugly truth

  • Raw data is always neutral, but the presentation of data never is. Presented data tends to tell a story. The eedesigned image shows information about the same reality, but the new presentation shifts the you focus on another thing. It only gets complicated when you want to decide what the graph is about.

  • takes care of its customers

They sure don't do that from the good of their heart,

    apple devices are overpriced

they make their customers pay for a 'service' that robs them of their freedom

  • Might be too late now perhaps, but the EU could've stayed out of it if they wanted to, imo

  • Not so super now are you /s

  • In a lot of places a part of your income is exempt from taxes (eg brackets where you pay 0-20k @ 0%, 30-60k @ 30%, 60-100k @ 40%, 100k+ @ 50%; then your first 20k is not taxed), i think this is what they are talking about.

Edit: another possibility would be they do mean actual expenses, just reminded you can (partially) deduct education expenses from your taxes in the Netherlands.

  • They will also be told the world is about to end

  • Considering the housing crises in many places, maybe it would be better to just leave their bodies in the forest

  • You guys see New York City?? Mine only shows car crashes :(

  • Copterslop

  • Totally true, but the us is supposed to be one of the adults, not one of the children. And there isn't always no consequence, especially if a country like us would recognize the international courts.

  • I hope both Russia and Iran will get rid of their fascist regime, rather sooner than later. But despite Russia not caring about international law, I do think it held them back when invading Georgia or anexing Crimea. Now any country can do as they please, because if America doesn't have to follow the rules, why would they? Imagine having to teach a class where everybody has to follow the rules but one kid can do anything he wants - recipe for chaos i tell you. I'm not saying the EU should stand with the Iran, but they should at least point out that America is breaking the rules in the way they are getting rid of this awful regime.

  • But here’s the thing that makes this even more absurd: Palantir isn’t even claiming the articles are false. The company isn’t suing for defamation. It isn’t seeking damages. Instead, it’s invoking a Swiss “right of reply” statute, alleging that Republik didn’t give the company a sufficient opportunity to respond. Palantir wants the court to force the magazine to publish lengthy counter-statements to each article.

  • Russia attacks Ukraine: "how dare they not follow intl law!"US attacks Iran: "well done getting rid of that bully!"

Sure there is loads of difference between Ukraine and Iran, but the EU not calling the aggressors out right now is setting a very deadly precedent.

  • Someone from Proton might read this, but it's also possible that won't happen. Probably you can report a bug or ask a question from the sheets web-app, but you could also leave a message here: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/ i assume collaboration is already high on their to-do list, but still.

  • America is not a group of like-minded individuals, no country is really. So you (plural) are not one-thing deep down. But there are enough people in favour of Trump who each have very different reasons) that he can stay in power. That sure says something about some people from America but not something about all Americans.

  • Have you read the article? It's not in any way dismissive or demeaning on the skills and abilities of our ancestors. Quite the opposite really.
