  • I'm an older Gex X guy, so ignore me but im just like wtf even is this ?

Taking all of this at face value, I would suggest being more honest though, saves this pain longer term. I have never asked a woman how much dick she has taken, why is that even a question ? And who cares ? That said, I am not in the know but I expect like a Chef etc, a decent amount of experience makes you better.

As to guys giving you money and then sending dick pics... so what ?

Not sure what the thing is with the federal LNP seat? Qld just voted in a majority LNP state Government and kicked the few Greens that were in parliament, safe to say they don't really give a care about the reef, to be fair that's the same as most of Australia and much of the world.

Ironically the new QLD LNP government has been dealing non stop with climate change enhanced disasters since they came to power, Leopards literally eating voters faces I guess ?

The Great Barrier Reef is suffering its second bleaching event in as many years, with the marine park authority reporting corals in distress due to an underwater heatwave stretching 1300 kilometres from Townsville to Cooktown.

Mass coral bleaching has occurred on the Great Barrier Reef in 1998, 2002, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2022, 2024 and now 2025

Sobering to remember the first every recorded mass bleaching was only back in 1998, nothing before that, voters literately mak

You can have instances that are run by folks that have a communist bent (thank goodess for that) or instances run by all sorts of folks and instances federate and talk to each other (and can be blocked) but that's a separate thing.

Some of my classmates had activated their cameras. I scrolled through the little windows, noting the alarmed faces, downcast in cold laptop light. There were dozens of us on the call, including a geophysicist, an actor, a retired financial adviser and a civil engineer. We all looked worried, and rightly so. The issue formerly known as climate change was now a polycrisis called climate collapse. H1N1 was busily jumping from birds to cows to people. And with each passing day, as Donald Trump went about gleefully dismantling state capacity, the promise of a competent government response to the next hurricane, wildfire, flood, pandemic, drought, mudslide, heatwave, financial meltdown, hailstorm or other calamity receded further from view.

I still find it staggering and heart-rending that we blew this so badly,ā€

I can only agree with that

  • Indeed and the US had lumped in nations who they would have previously called friends and fucked them as well.

Short term lots of nations will feel some.pain, longher term of China plays it's cards right, the US continues it's slide into irrelevance.

As an Australian i hope we pivot to Europe and build stronger relationships there but we have a long tradition of our tongue being stuck firmly up the arsehole of the US.

  • Surely deporting anti-vaxxers to El Salvador would be a good thing ?

  • Austraia and the UK have similar laws to allow border police to search your electronic devices. In Australia they can clone your phone and keep a copy for as long as they want.

What's bemusing to me is to read some local Aussie posters saying how fascist America has become, when Australia does the same and has for over a decade.

ā€˜Shock to the system’: farmers hit by Trump’s tariffs and cuts say they need another bailout | Trump administration | The Guardian

Farmers across the United States say they could face financial ruin – unless there is a huge taxpayer-funded bail out to compensate for losses generated by Donald Trump’s sweeping cuts and chaotic tariffs.

Need that sweet, sweet socalism. Last time Trump chipped in some few billion tax dollars to help out the "welfare queen" farmers, I assume they think he will again as they go cap in hand amd tug thier forelock to m'lord ?

pools and waterways are parched, leaving freshwater fish stranded and dead.

Luke Price, an ecologist for the regional landscape body Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu, says ā€œwe’re definitely seeing local extinctions of small populations of fish that usually sought refuge in those poolsā€.

Wattles and eucalypts, particularly messmate stringybarks, have been dying throughout the Adelaide Hills, while along coastal dunes and clifftops, shrubs like coast daisy bush and coast beard-heath are suffering.

Dr Stefan Caddy-Retalic, an ecologist at the University of Adelaide, says many tree species were showing signs of deterioration and stress such as dead limbs, excessive leaf scorching or sprouting new shoots from the base due to the ā€œratchetingā€ effects of lower rainfall, higher temperatures and development that encroached on tree roots.

As the city’s climate continued to shift from warm mediterranean to semi-arid due to global heating, a lot of the introduced trees people associated with Adelaide – like jacarandas, plane trees and oaks – and some natives, such as grey box, will continue to struggle, he says, with potentially devastating consequences for the animals that rely on them for food and habitat

Rising temperatures could cause a surge in mental health disorders with young Australians most at risk - ABC News

Lead author Professor Peng Bi said the impact of climate change on mental health was ā€œonly going to get worseā€ without action.

ā€œFrom mild distress to serious conditions like schizophrenia, rising temperatures are making things harder for millions,ā€ he said.

High temperatures, according to the report, contributed to an annual loss of 8,459 disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) between 2003 and 2018.

A new study led by a team at the University of Adelaide’s School of Public Health has found the burden of mental and behavioural disorders could increase by almost 50 per cent by 2050.

One of Australia’s largest conservation organisations has awarded the federal Coalition just one out of 100 for its environment and climate change policies – the lowest score it has given the Liberal and National parties in more than 20 years of compiling pre-election scorecards.

Labor scraped through with a pass – on 54% – while the Greens achieved 98%, according to the scorecard, which ranked the major parties and key independents on their policies for protecting nature, championing renewable energy, and rejecting nuclear and fossil fuels.

As a Greens voter, I am bemused they scored that high, must be a low bar, which is scary considering how low the two main parties ranked.

One of the major obstacles preventing reform is that no-one is willing to admit there’s a problem, according to Mallon.

He says because banks and insurance companies have exposure in these sub-prime climate markets, it’s not in their interests to raise the alarm.

Regardless, we need to, as we can't continue as we are ignoring the laws of nature but I'd rather we did it in a managed and equitable way i.e.

Instead we seem to have defaulted to the oligarchs and us peasants as a way to organise our society and voters will enable that to continue at the next election.

The scale of habitat destruction in Queensland and New South Wales – states in which the koala is formally recognised as being at risk of extinction – has continued despite political promises it would be protected.

About three-quarters of the lost forest is estimated to have been cleared for agriculture, to create cattle pasture and crop fields. The analysis found 13% was removed by the forestry industry and 5% for development of infrastructure, including mining. Just 4% was likely due to natural causes, such as bushfire and drought.

Nearly all of the forest destruction occurred on a small scale that did not require consideration under federal environment law.

An Australian review of existing studies has argued that ā€œthe environmental impact of owned dogs is far greater, more insidious, and more concerning than is generally recognisedā€.

The carbon footprint of pets is also significant. A 2020 study found the dry pet food industry had an environmental footprint of around twice the land area of the UK, with greenhouse gas emissions – 56 to 151 Mt CO2 – equivalent to the 60th highest-emitting country.

I find this remarkable (and wonderfully recreshing) , in Australia we seemingly want to buy expensive housing to get on the grift.

As John Howard said, he was never approached by anyone about making housing more affordable, as well as Plibersek as Housing Minister in the Rudd government,.wbere before that election saying first home owners gramts where a bad idea as all they did was raise house prices, gets elected to government and increases the first home owners grant as her first task.
