  • Genuine question as I also self host invidious, but are they any privacy benefits compared to the official YouTube website (with vinegar)? I am assuming it is very limited as I am the only person using the instance, from my home ip address.

I do prefer the minimal ui from invidious, but the container occasionally crashes

  • I was late to the debrid party, only been exploring real Debrid as of a week, and even later to the news the service being impacted 2 months ago. I don’t notice anything not in order. Anyone care to share their experience since then?

I am impressed with watch a debrid service offers. Any alternatives I could explore?

How many times do you resole your climbing shoes

I have a pair of Scarpa VS that I have resoled once before. When I got those new I had to break them in for about two months, it was very painful but nowthey fit perfectly. I have tried Sportiva solutions in between when I had the scarpa resoled, but I couldn’t get them to fit. I figured I would have the Scarpa VS as a back up shoe, but I ended ho wearing them as my main. I sold the solutions. The sole on the Scarpa is now about 60% done and am thinking about next steps. A new shoe sounds interesting, but resoling the Scarpa once again could be the better option. How many times do you resole your shoe?

  • I’ll take any suggestion. I really enjoyed the all possession replay, although that might be to much to ask.

Currently watching 10 min highlights on YouTube, 720p isn’t the best.

If it is a match I really want to see, I would consider watching it in full.

Considering I am from the EU, I rarely watch anything live.

  • This is a great option, I have used it too in the past. Since, I have switched to iCloud when they implemented e2e encryption. Seems no one else here goes that route, trust issues maybe.

I do miss versioning with iCloud.

I have proton drive too, waiting on that osx client.

  • I never play on Mac M1, should I? I have a ps5, how would performance compare to that? If m1 might actually have comparable performance I might need to get into it and have games streamed using steamlink to my tv.

  • The downvotes, the jokes, I find it immature. Seems like lemmy turned out to be to have become toxic with the Reddit refugees.

Look, I’m looking forward on playing the game ever since release. I still respect cd project for what they have done with Witcher 3. I simply waited to play the game as my time is sparse nowadays and I have to chose consciously how I spent it. If the game gives me dozens of hours of a great time, I see no problem in spending the cash.

  • I wholeheartedly agree and support that. Hence my recommendation for Bitwarden. Somehow you lemmies can’t appreciate my sincere bafflement, constructive discussion everyone; it’s you who is the dick. Keep them downvotes coming and have a nice day.

  • If baffles me one is as tech enthousiast to be on the privacy Lemmy; but has never heard of a password manager.

On topic: Bitwarden is the way, like others have mentioned before me. It has delivered on all my needs for a manager for a couple of years now.

Looking for good ‘night vision’ camera for the garden for wildlife.

I will highly appreciate any recommendations you might have to spot the occasional hedgehog roaming our small garden.

I got as far that people like generic ip PoE cameras such as from reolink and set them up through syncted. I havent gotten to such a complex configuration, but i have a mac mini m1 with docker at home that i can run as a server if needed.

Are wifi cameras a no go? It would save me to drill through walls.
