  • save 80gb for root, sone swap (if not on an ssd) rest for /home. that way reinstalling or switching has minimal risk of losing my /home

  • i use arch. I've got it set up and it works really well for me. I'd only switch if I had some feature I needed in atomic that I can't have in arch. (not just a feature atomic has, but a feature I need that atomic has)

  • how much air conditioning do you have? if you take public transport, is it air-conditioned?

    your personal survival comes first

  • I'll believe it when I see it. trump did so many things that would be career ending for anyone else. he got convicted of 30+ felonies. his university closed for fraud. he is banned from operating charities in NY cause of fraud. he's bankrupted several businesses. not to mention the sexual assault and rape. and his crass behavior.

voters knew all of this. and voted for him anyway 🙄

things may change when the rich lose enough and allow the right wing media to turn against trump. hasn't happened yet.

  • support for him is still strong thanks to the propaganda machine. fox news doesn't even mention the stock market drop, but highlights important events such as Monica Lewinsky's return to Hollywoods inner circle and the 50 million saved by DOGE 🙄.

The rich still think the can profit from Trump's policies, and until that changes nothing else will matter

  • the trusts pay pennies to the dollar...

  • omg. turns out there something called an asbestos bankruptcy trust that companies use to get out of paying people injured by asbestos exposure

  • Wow. 6 months after the shooting her mom shot herself. her dad moved her to an isolated mountain region. she managed to buy her own house, live independently, get a job, and forgive the gunman's parents. good for her. sounds like an amazing woman

  • in 4 years voters will forget. also in 4 years whomever is running will just blame storm, or blatantly lie, and won't be affected

Endangered and unpaid: Mukesh Chandrakar’s life symbolised the Bastar media story

Unpaid Basar journalists write story following up on the tragic death of a six-month-old girl who had got caught in a crossfire the previous year as well as landmine deaths in the region. They also report on conditions of new schools, the salaries of teachers and the implementation of government schemes in the area.

One of the authors is murdered and his body is found in a septic tank in the area near his home. He was 32 years old. The main suspect was Contractor Suresh Chandrakar, who had recently had an extravagant wedding for which he’d used a helicopter and organised Russian dancers, and was a distant relative of the victim.

Dear Mark, I hope this finds you well. I noticed something interesting today - it seems Instagram is blocking links to my little open-source project. You know, the one that lets people share photos without harvesting their personal data or forcing algorithmic feeds on them. I have to admit, I'm flattered. Who would've thought a small team of volunteers could build something that would catch your attention? We're just trying to give people a choice in how they share their memories online. No VCs, no surveillance capitalism, just code and community. Remember when Facebook started? It was about connecting people, not maximizing engagement metrics. Our project might be tiny compared to Instagram, but we're staying true to that original spirit of social media - giving people control over their online presence without turning them into products. You could've ignored us. Instead, by blocking our links, you've
