yes, I agree that “black and white” logic says I dehumanized the guy wearing the hat. when he put the hat on he made it easy to not care about his feelings. yeah of course I’d give him cpr and narcan but once he’s back he’s going to be reminded verbally he’s a complete worthless piece of trash. we all agree there.

i understand the sentiment and its usage as a sort of double standard; but that’s just it. That’s as far as it goes. They also practice with firearms. I do too. That does not make lefty me a nazi.
working class people do not “just become” nazis. they actively choose to. as in this article shows. he actively chooses to support the group while his own wife is sent to the camps.
that is not the kind of person who’s feelings i worry about.
