What causes flames to exist

  • I've read that most visible flames in campfires are just glowing soot

    • YSK: If your instance updated to 0.18.1, there's new themes in your profile settings, including compact and pure black themes! (for the website version of lemmy, version number at bottom of page)

  • I had the same problem, but it worked after I closed all other Lemmy tabs in my browser.

    • How come rust built up on iron things looks like a thick crust, but somehow when it's removed it's like there's nothing gone from the original?

  • Just want to add, that rust is not pure iron oxide(? can't do chemistry in english) but also contains water molecules

  • Using lemmys image hosting is not good for server storage. OP doesn't want to use imgur for a different reason i'm unaware of
