  • If we wait til 2028 we've all failed. He has already stated he's finding a way for a 3rd term and is currently shredding the constitution. If we do not oust the man and his entire heritage foundation crony cuck ball lickers there won't be any voting for you to do in 2027. Their goal is to take complete control and remain in power forever. It's clearly stated in project 2025.

  • Like I said just not entirely correct.

You are right that they don't want to seem like they're advertising for a company, but I was building off the first comment stating it was companies they couldn't extort money out of and I'm sure you know thats just not how product placement works.

  • Good news! You're both wrong or at least not entirely right. That's called greeking and is done on literally any brand, marketing or imagery of any kind unless specifically approved by that company, and or the artist that made the imagery regardless of whether that company has given them money or not. Its often done with a sticker and a graphic made of some made up brand or maybe just tape over it but this is my favorite type. This means the on set dresser took that from crafty because they weren't expecting a fridge shot today and "greeked" out surge by using a sharpie to fill in the spaces. Just great work right there.

This is all out of fear that they might be sued. That's all.

  • Ya know I have to say I feel nearly the same about Dune. I haven't gotten to the the later books but the first 2 have made me love the movies more. Not that I love the the books any less though. There is very little nuance lost in the movies and the changes that are made I can understand from a film making point of view. I guess what I mean to say is I appreciate the differences and it makes me like both more rather thank either any less.

  • Can't recommend tales from the loop enough. Its slow and episodic but all starts to tie together as it progresses. Like I said, I think they really matched the feeling of the art in that series.

  • I agree In my house we don't have so many drawers. Just 2 large ones and we've basically integrated the miscellaneous sections into the 2. Everything with a knowable home and commonly used in the up front dividers. All else in the rear dividers.

  • Funny I was just listening to a report on NPR about early EV buyers going back to gas cars over the past year. I wonder how many of those are people now unwilling to get another tesla (for political reasons) or do any shopping for another brand, and how many of those early adopters found shortfalls in where the tech was and are looking for certain specs that manufacturers haven't achieved yet. At least one of the anecdotes on the report was exactly that. I think someone had bought one of the earlier Chevy evs and was disappointed by the range and charging speed/ capabilities as they lived in an apartment.

  • This guys got it right (as well as the guy below, buy as you need) I would just like to add I think a drill press is definitely an important tool.

You can get mortising kits for them which would be very useful for this type of furniture. It can also be useful in making all sorts of round shapes, like the kind you'd find under the arm of a craftsman style chair. Usefull for making jigs and drill press jigs like making evenly spaced dowel holes for spindle backed chairs.

    Just a very useful tool.
