Hmm, Mentally Ill people are mentally ill Who knew

  • Guess you all missed the New in December that China has hacked access to every PC and computer system in the US Treasury Dept

  • Well, those printers will be an immediate ban in NYS and CA in the USA for consumers without a licence and background check

  • So, have BambuLab explained how this new "security" will stop them from accidentally pushing a global print job from the cloud

  • Book publishers tried that years ago They lost and the First Sale Doctrine was born

  • Background checks are a Federal requirement and any transfer requires it go through an FFL for just that reason There is no Gun Show Loophole

  • Oh, no It's not like Mastodon instances have fact checkers or even sufficient moderation staff

  • Are you retarded Such a hang up you have

  • At least all the mentally weak and emotionally mature are leaving X

  • Will a separate PSU be needed to power it

  • Too late the code is out there ... Forever

  • Prusa XL 5 Head with that money would be an excellent choice

  • I find it odd they are going with a Tokamak design which has been tested for decades and has issues that require complicated engineering to solve Magnetic confinement of the plasma being the massive one I have to wonder why they are not going with a Stellarator design Maybe their engineering and science isn't up to it

  • You are vastly misinformed Libraries do not have special rights The Internet Archive was recently and previously sued for exactly what libraries do They also share files via direct download and torrents P2P is not illegal Sharing files you don't have the rights to is illegal I share many files from the Internet Archive via torrent from home

  • Natural yeast The best I've used was the yeast on the skins of my apples from my backyard It's the only way I've had a rich apple flavor

The Starliner spacecraft has started to emit strange noises

On Saturday NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore noticed some strange noises emanating from a speaker inside the Starliner spacecraft.

"I've got a question about Starliner," Wilmore radioed down to Mission Control, at Johnson Space Center in Houston. "There's a strange noise coming through the speaker ... I don't know what's making it."

Wilmore said he was not sure if there was some oddity in the connection between the station and the spacecraft causing the noise, or something else. He asked the flight controllers in Houston to see if they could listen to the audio inside the spacecraft. A few minutes later, Mission Control radioed back that they were linked via "hardline" to listen to audio inside Starliner, which has now been docked to the International Space Station for nearly three months.

As it turns out one of the pioneering synths was the humble Commodore Amiga. Here’s more from Magical Synth:

“I made a video about the very first polyphonic, subtractive soft synth available to the public,” notes Bow. “It was made possible by the unique soundchip of the Commodore Amiga computer. The video also features other interesting Amiga software synths.”

Amiga Did Ray-Tracing 30 Years Ago, And No One Remembers

Ray-tracing, the simulation of light rays and their interactions with the environment, is the holy grail of computer graphics and can achieve Hollywood-level imagery. The Amiga home computer, despite being capable of ray tracing in the 80s, was left out of the conversation due to hardware limitations. The Amiga played a significant role in visual effects and pioneered software that is still used in the TV and film industry today, but ultimately fell out of favor due to financial struggles and competition from home consoles.

Greetings from the top of New York State on the Canadian border I'm normally out kayaking if it's nice out on the local rivers The St. Lawrence River can be a challenge due to its size and orientation with the prevailing winds Though it's made up for by the islands to explore Almost all my trips are streamed on Twitch Need to work on the setup still Verizon is currently doing maintenance I assume for G5 tower upgrades I'm hoping the connectivity will return to what it has been in past years or better
