  • I loathe them. The revving, the constant rumble, it grates on me to the point I might turn into a mindless murderer. We have a guy who uses it almost daily at work, and just lets it idle and...urgh.

  • After an almost 2 month wait I got my final 2 assignment results back from last teaching period.

I was pretty certain I nailed one and the other I was iffy about.

The one I nailed, I "only" got an 82. Which is good and I am happy about but I thought I would have done better.

The one I was iffy about, 90. Now, that, I am chuffed about.

The 90 also did some heavy lifting and put me in HD for the overall unit.

  • I put on Iron Man the other day and AC/DCs Back in Black comes on and my daughter goes "I like this music. Is it old people music?" I swear my back started aching as soon as those words left her mouth.

  • I haven't been to Ballarat in many many years. What's it like now?

It seems so much bigger and I think it has a lot of what I need in terms of moving back to Melbourne (well Victoria) and housing prices is within my budget. It also has gymnastics and other things my little one would want to continue doing so it definitely sounds appealing on paper.

  • I have a question for our bakers and chefs and general kitchen superstars - whenever I try to make something doughy - like pretzels or scones - the mix is always way too sticky. I follow the advice on the ingredients, but yeah, too sticky so I end up essentially eating half the mix off my fingertips.

Any suggestions on how to combat this? Is it simply needing to add more flour?

  • My not pet peeve today is little ones mum has (essentially) given the all good for little one to move to Melbourne with me so that is one gigantic hurdle cleared.

Things may change and we will discuss it more in depth later on, but for now it means I can move ahead with preliminary plans. It's a relief.

  • My irrational pet peeve today is seeing these cooking videos on social media where the people are just so aggressively doing things. Jerking oven doors open. Very deliberate, slow, deep and yet rough cutting of meat. Throwing seasoning on food like it's schoolies week.

Saltbae would be rolling in his grave.
