Don't feel bad for the Moderators of Reddit

  • It’s similar to women who can’t leave their violent companion: they want to believe in something that does not exist, and will stretch their perception of reality to avoid admitting they’re wrong.

    This analysis really fucking sucks lmao. Abuse also includes controlling access to structures of dependency (housing, food, money, social webs, children), so a lot of time in the immediate term and often long term it is a MUCH better value proposition to stay with abusers in the hope that they change.

    Idk this is so victim blamey and misunderstanding.

    Why keep the nazi name for this community

    In the migration to lemmy, this community's admins have the chance to drop its startlingly racist name. Wasn't funny back then, and it's still not funny.

    Why keep the nazi memorabilia around?

    Wouldn't it be nice if instead of just bars with alcohol, there were establishments for people to consume cannabis while eating, playing board games, and socializing?

  • They've got this in Amsterdam but I would say it's less accessible than bars/alcohol generally due to how polluted the air gets (despite the best efforts of filtration)
