  • I mean, on one hand I see their point of view that it was a project that was poorly managed and led to her death.

On the other hand, this is in part HER art. So it feels weird to bury something that she helped create, cared about, and showcases her particular vision. I feel that it's better to be released and to bring to focus her particular talents and artistry. Let it be a celebration of her work and vision.

  • I personally support the troops and condemn the military.

If I meet an individual, that's a person who has oftentimes been sent to places where their lives were in danger whether they really wanted to go or not.

However, I don't support the leadership or the organization. I don't believe we've needed to maintain such a large military force or use it to advance national interests. The USA has always been in a unique position geographically where a war couldn't easily reach us.

  • I think that calm is really good for IT. We let others out too much of a demand on us and let their anxiety become ours.

In a crisis, security incident, or outage that calm is going to be so beneficial. "We're going to have a little downtime. The application isn't ruined. It's just a little unplanned patch. It's going to be better because we needed to fix it."

  • The vast majority of my furniture is solid hard wood. It was purchased from a Habitat for Humanity restore or my grandmothers.

The other week I got a huge china cabinet for $35 that I put in the basement for a pantry. If I bought something new like it today. It would be over $1500 or $2000 easy.

  • I'm so confused. Do you think just because they keep going for democratic president candidates that Democrats are the problem?

I'd be more interested in seeing the governors list.

But setting that aside, the COL should be shown alongside the average income because just COL is disengious and doesn't show the whole picture.

High cost of living is also largely influenced by people's desire to live there. It's very likely that the Democrats are the fucking reason people WANT to be there.

Republicans might lower cost of living but only because everyone starts to fucking leave.

  • I'd work on cars. And my house. It feels like I'm fighting entropy, I fix one thing and find 2 more problems in the process. But I know some of that is just the previous home owner doing a bunch of diy.

Learn to wood work and build furniture. I have a deep, deep loathing for flat pack furniture.

Garden. I'd love to have a proper garden.

Honestly. I'd just like to be rid of my anxiety over finances.

  • "Primarily" does a lot of heavy lifting there. Basically, it doesn't outlaw using it in other manners so it wouldn't be easily enforceable by a traffic cop. It would only really be brought forward as fraud if a prosecutor could prove you used it "primarily" for other reasons.

And thats beyond saying that driving it, on its own, is not an exhibition purpose.

  • This isn't about CO2. I think the idea is that a lot of our funding for roads is based around the taxes for gasoline and diesel. Since EVe don't use either, they are damaging the roads at the same (or more due to their weight) but not providing the tax revenue for the maintenance work needed.

Moving to tires would apply the taxation to both vehicles types. I think it's a bit short sighted and tires are used for more than road vehicles; but at the same time so is gasoline (like yard equipment.)

  • "We don’t want members of the media or just a lot of lobbyists joining,” said one person close to the club. “We want people to feel comfortable having conversations in privacy.”

You're fucking government officials! You aren't supposed to have meetings in privacy!

  • The national guard can be requisitioned by the federal government. However, the state guard (often trained by/alongside the national guard and sharing members) cannot. They only answer to the governor.

I know we all felt like it was wild when De Santis reformed the Florida State Guard. But now I feel blue states need to do it.

  • Or they somehow want to price things off eBay prices. Bro, you are a thrift store. You aren't some place that should be trying to get the absolute most out of an item.

Price it vaguely on what people might pay for some used, unwashed, beat to hell thing. If someone thinks they can get more by selling it online, that's fine. That's on them. You don't have to compete with them. Turnover of items is more important than the most money on that old glass cup.

  • I think it's imperative that blue states activate their state guards and make an immediate push to strengthen themselves.

This is essentially a declaration of war on blue states and blue cities and their leaders and politicians.
